The HTFU was for the request for a redundant, easy-mode counter to the active scanner.
Redundant because you have all you need to counter active scanners with the passive dampening mods. If scanners are really a problem for you, level scanning and equip a complex dampener, you only need one on a med suit to counter 99% of the scanners in pubs.
He's asking for an easy way to counter scans, and since active mods are typically better than passive, it means he doesn't want to put sp and a low slot into dampener. Typical scanner QQ.
Had he came up with actual ideas, examples, data, etc. to support an argument, then we can work with that. But this "I'm lazy, scanners hurt my feelings," spam of a post is just whining.

It only takes two enhanced dampeners at lvl5 dampening to block all proto scans bar the focused.
Math:
50[scan profile]-(50*.1)[skill bonus]-(50*.2)[first dampener]-(50*(.2*.87))[second, with penalty]=26.3
If you really want to complain about the focused, just remember they're bring a 40k proto equipment that takes a fourth to a fifth of their PG/CPU well, and it only lasts for 5secs.
