Just got my Carthium pistol the other day and loving this thing with 2 complex damage mods. But was a bit saddened with how the Minmatar assault's racial bonus only applies to base clip size. If possible, I'd like to see it apply to total weapon clip size after the operations skill is applied.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I know from previous conversations that you are not in favor of linking racial weapons to racial suits with bonuses but it has been done with Amarr assaults very successfully and I think it would be better for Minmatar Assaults than the current bonuses. Why should Minmatar get bonuses for using Amarr weapons after all. That just doesn't fit the game's back story.
We don't have allegiance to one specific race, were mercenaries.

Yet there's a Matari sub-bloodline that elusively uses Amarr weapons, Caldari corps manufacture Gallente, Minmatar and occasionally Amarr gear, Minmatar tech is a mixture of the other 3 races and Amarr will use Matari gear when necessary. EVE isn't as xenophobic as you want to think. Why do you think there's an Ishukone SMG? I sure as hell isn't a placeholder.

Can we get a little on topic. I'm talking specifically about the bonus being applied to total clip size instead of base clip size.

Regardless of whether this is the right bonus to have for this suit or not the bug should be fixed.
I think it's working as intended, but the bonus is pretty diminished due to the low clip size. Simply changing how the bonus is applied could go a long way. Having a few extra shots in the clip doesn't seem like it would hurt anything for an already underrated weapon.
