I know from previous conversations that you are not in favor of linking racial weapons to racial suits with bonuses but it has been done with Amarr assaults very successfully and I think it would be better for Minmatar Assaults than the current bonuses. Why should Minmatar get bonuses for using Amarr weapons after all. That just doesn't fit the game's back story. We don't have allegiance to one specific race, were mercenaries. Yet there's a Matari sub-bloodline that elusively uses Amarr weapons, Caldari corps manufacture Gallente, Minmatar and occasionally Amarr gear, Minmatar tech is a mixture of the other 3 races and Amarr will use Matari gear when necessary. EVE isn't as xenophobic as you want to think. Why do you think there's an Ishukone SMG? I sure as hell isn't a placeholder.
Not sure that's entirely accurate... The Ishukone corporation manufactures Matari gear due to past experience but that isn't to say that the Matari wouldn't be proficient in the utilization of their own technology.
Amarr Assault suit has a bonus geared toward their own weapons, as well as higher CPU/PG values necessary for the use of said weapons.
Gallente Assault suit gets a bonus to hybrid weapon resource costs.
If anything, the Caldari is the only suit that's -not- operating on a racial standpoint and that's because they ditched the reload speed in favor of a shield bonus a few months ago. The Minmatar Assault's sidearm bonus is a bit over-broad, if you ask me and I'd much rather it apply to the magazine capacity to all projectile weapons being as the magazine capacity on the Assault Combat Rifle is a little lacking...
Yes, we're mercenaries and yes there are a few exceptions in the lore but we're talking about general issue gear here, not the stuff the Kameira's and Valklear are using.
