With all the work going into tiericide in EVE, how and why did CCP make this mistake twice? Honestly, I'm ashamed of CCP right now. They need to get their act together, really. I'm certainly not a game designer, but even I can tell that they're doing it wrong.
TL;DR: If you think this thread is too long, you're a lazy arse. As a 2 year old eve player you've got my +1
There are lots of things that are so ****** up with dust such as protostomping, matchmaking, visual glitches, clipping, weapon balancing, etc. and takes them so ******* long to fix that makes one think if theres at least one dude working on this game... Sometimes i think it isnt, i mean, this is a full F2P game, what profit can they possibly have? i mean, when playing the closed beta one could see that there where only around 5000 guys connected, now you see 45.000+- since its the whole TQ cluster, now i think about it, and i have the feeling that theyre even less players (every day i see the same fags, protowhores HEY LOOK AT ME im pro, and my fellow corpies who doesnt own any district but come to pub matches to **** your butt, this improves my selfesteem, and some honest guys, truth be told), because lets face if a dude gets into game for the 1st time, starter fit, he manages to get to the back of a guy with a proto, he unleashes hell to that dude, this dude turns around... oneshots him...
This guy is just gonna say dafuq is this ****-+? uninstall... period.
Besides, if MMO market is crowded, imagine shooters, among call of dutys, battlefields, etc. a game must really be awesome to stand a chance, even more if its on an unnatural platform for shooters like a console is, and even more if its only for a single console, dust would have a potential huge market if it where on PC, every eve player would try it, and if it where just like eve that costs 5 bucks to upgrade from a trial account to a full account lots of ppl would pay, but nope, so this brings me to the first question, what profit does ccp have? aur items.
Aha, aur items are pay to win and who doesnt see that its just because: a) fanboy, b) unreasonable person, on any games real money items are just vanity items, and aur gear aint xD Who buys aur items? kids that cannot use cheats and use mommah's credit card, first because they dont have the patience to train that **** up, and second they hate to lose...
But even if they train the proto stuff, the protostomping is still a problem, for many reasons, some stated before, and obvious. I played bloodline champions a couple years ago and, the thing there was that lvl1 toon only makes 10% less dps than a lvl25, thats reasonable, but the IFKINPWNUBIATCH imperial scrambler rifle/duvolle assault rifle is just stupid.
