But yes - they really didn't think it through when they did the keyboard/mouse button assignments...
Should be WASD for all navigation, Q/E instead of -/+ for switching pages, R/F instead of Backspace/Enter to go forward/backward.
What ccp should do is give us the freedom to set up our own keys, period xD

I mean, dafuq should i press Caps Lock and aim with the mouse to change weapon/tool? i want my rifle to be on 3, my smg on 2, my repair tool on 1, injector on 4, 5 uplink....

I mean, that's really the only thing I could see them not wanting people to do - if they took the 5 minutes to just allow changing key bindings on anything other than the mouse scrolling then that'd be perfect.
Oh, i see, okay, i still dont see how the mousewheel would make you shoot faster than with just pressing the left mouse button, since what limits the rof isnt the mouse but the stats of the weapon but i see what youre saying.

I don't want anything like EZmod AA or anything like that, I don't really need a fully configurable keyboard keys but a little "fix", a little improving of the present controls with the M/KB, something redesigned to be as efficient and smooth as the joypad.
What you and i need is dust on pc xD
On one screen a catalyst and on the other the merc xD

1 and 2 for tools, 3 and 4 for weapons, 5 for nades, you switch to nade and cook by pressing the left mouse button, release and throw, any key on the keyboard would make it unable to cook, if you place it at Q, you wont be able to press A, if you put it at F, you wont be able to press D
