1.) Small, in my opinion, is subjective. Small in development terms could be HUGE in gaming terms. Something as simple as player to player trading in itself is not a very big feature. But at the same time the impact it would have on the game is profound. It would open up a truly "player driven" market that, although would still be heavily influenced by NPC seeding, is still much more then what we have now. With the addition of FW in 1.7 the need for this feature is even more prominent, and would be incredibly useful for those who do not want to either A.) Get into FW, or B.) Grind wins out for every faction.
Now I will admit that im not a developer. Nor do I have the technical knowledge to claim "this would not be hard" But comparatively to what CCP has been working on (Ie: FW) I would say a simple "Send trade request" option when clicking on a mercs name would not be such a terribly hard thing to add. Of course it would need more polishing and detail then that, but its pretty damn simple in EVE Online (which is surprising when you consider EVE Online is known also as Spreadsheets online......).
This feature would improve the overall gaming experience in a lot ways too. The biggest gripe I had with this game for a long time was just all the ANNOYING things that could happen to you in it. Flaylock pistols, tac rifles, Forge guns, OP Tanks (back in the day), OP laser rifles (chromosome), and a plethora of other things including bugs/glitches. CCP has worked very hard to eliminate a lot of the things that used to be frustrating. By adding a player to player trading system, this would allow for people to stress a little bit less when they lose those invaluable officer weapons. Why? Because now those weapons availability will be determined on the mercs wallet size and not on how lucky he is. It would allow for the rich to save time and just buy items of scarcity (ie: Officer weapons/ FW merchandise), and it would allow the hopelessly poor a chance to become...... "un-poor" ![Blink](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_blink.png)
I mean..... it really is such a simple concept. Yet the benefit in having it would be...... well worth the effort. What was mentioned above was a summarized version, and I wont even start with the possibilities involving corporations and this feature. That's for another day, so I hope this much satisfies the first bit.
2.) So what I would personally like to see in 2014 is PVE obviously. Now I know that most other people have probably chosen this somewhere in their post but I like to think that its still worth saying because of the importance of this feature..... Dust 514 is an MMO FPS. The MMO comes first for a reason...... yet it doesn't have PVE. PVE is an incredible opportunity for CCP to broaden its fan base and get people seriously interested in playing Dust again. I have no doubt that hundreds if not thousands would come back to the game if they knew PVE is in it.
So why is PVE important for this game? Well lets think about that for a second..... What is the soul biggest reason that keeps people out of this game right now? If you don't know ill tell you...... its pubstomping. The learning curve in this game is so steep that even attempting to start a new character now is nearly bordering on insanity. And honestly by learning curve I mean skill curve. By introducing PVE new players have an opportunity to go somewhere that can truly be matched to their level. A place they wont have to get 100% driven away from the game because of how difficult it is. Veteran players will have someplace new to go to in order to spice things up a bit. And competitive players will be able to team up and take down mindless bots rather then actually having to compete against real people all the time. Really PVE is just a whole new realm players would be able to use in order to get away from the frustration that ensues during pub matches. Of course there should be incentive to do other things, but PVE is something I know people have been looking forward to ever since last fanfest, and personally im stunned CCP has barely even mentioned it since then.
What could PVE add to the game? Well it would add more layers to the games oncoming economy AND PC. Loot generated in PVE could be sold on the market for tremendous profit depending on items rarity. And if a corporation owns a district (or an entire planet) there could be additional opportunities given to the mercs in these corporations. Oppertunities that include even more difficult boss battles but also increased loot drop rate, This would put a whole new value on owning districts and really would give people more incentive in trying to own them. After all...... everybody loves loot ![Bear](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_bear.png) In short PVE is what I want because of how it would both A.) effect the longevity of the games population base, and B.) Set the game up for future additions that would only make the feature even more bad ass.
3.) And so we finally get to my future vision of the game....... Truly theres so many things I want this game to become and while I could write another entire page about it ill try and keep it short...... I want a game that is meaningful to play. Some may argue that Dust already is meaningful, but that, in my opinion, is only because I know my stats aren't ever going to disappear because of the fact this game isn't ever going to be replaced by "yearly installments". I want real meaning! No more of this sissy FW PC, I want REAL Null sec PC! I want this game to make a difference in New Eden! I want the actions I take to have an effect on other people weather it be positive or negative! That's all ive ever wanted in a video game, and that's all my vision for this game really entails..... I want it all to have been meaningful. And with that, I leave you Mr. Castor, as 1.) I have run out of text space, and 2.) I know there are many many other posts you have to read in order to complete this contest. Best of luck to all my fellow mercs!

I love this guys events. Completely selfless (aside from the huge reputation hes growing himself) and fun to participate in. To the first place winner, your pretty lucky man! I won a set of Templar codes in the last event and my god those things are pretty fricken awesome! I use the Templar SR and assault suit all of the time! Saves me a crap ton of isk. You should use it well too.
Other then that, Castor, great job with this event again! I still cant believe you have the patience to read AND grade each of the posts! You keep that up and im sure you'll go somewhere far in this community!
