If you limit me to just a sidearm... im still going to kill people, and your still going to QQ.
i know this becuase my most common fit uses only an SMG, and i still kill people, i still top charts, im still a lethal killer.
if you reduce the slots, well thats all fine, im still going to kill people, and your still going to QQ.
i know this becuase i run around in a Sever suit most of the time and do just fine.
you guys need to wrap your heads around the fact that logis are going to kill people, and a good slayer is going to be just as deadly in a logi suit as an assault suit, and it wont matter what you change to the suit thats always going to be true.
currently the logi skill bonus is OP, and the assault skill bonus is useless.
THAT is the single factor wich is cuasing this mess, its the reason people speced logi over assault int he first place, and its why you see so many logis vs assaults.
CCP know this and has posted about trying to rework the skill bonuses, and thats what they are refering to when they speak of nerfing logis.
but do not think for a second they will suddenly be less deadly, they will simply be a little less surviable then they are now.
this talk of "slayer" logis is complete BS, you seem to think that the class is a dedicated healer when in reality is just an equipment user.
i use it for the remote explosives spam, and no matter what happens to the suit i will continue to do so, and continue to top the charts. @Bolden, You see, that's what is trieing to be done.
a good assault player, can do good in a assault suit, but due to the capability for much improved HP values in logistics, a good assault player in a assault suit is< a good assault player in a logi suit.
@Italicized, survivable is equal to deadly. If I can eat more bullets then what the other guy can, and still deal the same amount of damage, then I am more deadly then the other.
Imagine, a Tank with just a guy with a RPG in it, and a Car with just a guy with a RPG in it.
Who is more deadly?
The tank is harder to kill then the car, while maintaining the cars lethality, therefore it is more deadly.

The tank is harder to kill then the car, while maintaining the cars lethality, therefore it is more deadly. people really underestimate the usefullness of having a sidearm. in an even engagement with wise use of cover on both sides, assumeing equal skill and gear, the guy with the sidearm has more oportunities for pushing forward then the guy without. that reload window can mean everything, and hot swapping to the sidearm and charging forward on their reload is a guarenteed way to gain an upper hand. again though thats assuming equal skill, wich is hard to find in matches right now. Sidearms are only really useful in CQC. This is due to the crappy ScP sights, the flays travel time, and the SMG's short range.
So, at mid range, and in 1v1 CQC, a logi has the upper hand with better EHP values, and with not having to worry about a sidearm popping out of nowhere.
In CQC, the sidearm is likely not going to be used due to most bullets hitting, meaning your going to die before you have to worry about a reload.
2.5 seconds isn't going to clear enough distance in mid-range combat to make that sidearm you got worth anything. you are likely going to have to cover around 30ish meters to get into useful range with a sidearm, and considering the range that most mid-range fights occur, like 60-45 meters, so covering 15 meters won't make that sidearm your carrying useful. Besides, running around in the open to attack a enemy, or squatting behind this wall and reloading. Which makes a bit more sense?
