If this was actually the case then they wouldn't be yellow
HOW THE HELL does the color yellow denote someone as being a dedicated healer?
The class, as some have suggested are the SWISS ARMY KNIVES of Dust.
Need an objective covered but donGÇÖt have the man power to spare? RE it. Bring in a logi.
Need in tell assessments while maintaining a roving guard. DONE. Where is my Amarr logi.
Need an AG in that Gunnlogi? There is no one better than a LOGI! Scanners, AV, Repair tool, and nanohives.
All of these situations would require the dispersement of multiple soldiers to complete the same jobs. The reason we have seen SO MANY LOGIs in the field is not FOTM soldiers, though there are a few mixed in there, rather due to low player counts in battle (i.e., the 16 on 16) requires MORE MERCS to be MORE VERSATILE. Versatility on the battlefield has demanded the greater servicing of LOGIs.
IF other suits had some additional versatility available to them, then maybe there wouldnGÇÖt be so many.
Colors and your abject determinations of how I, or any other dedicated logis (that is not hose that are JUST dedicated to healing, but are dedicated to support and facilitation) are GÇ£supposedGÇ¥ to perform are not what defines a logi.
Logis are identified by the overall effectiveness they give to the squad and team as a whole.
Fix the bonuses on the Assaults, give the proto-suits (scouts and assaults) an extra equipment slot, and then maybe look at the changes in player interaction before playing the bigot towards those of us that excel at our job of supporting their team.
Before CCP should even think about NERFing us, they should play with us. Observe logis in action. What they will realize is that the problem is not with the logi suit, rather it is the shortcomings of their other suit designs that become apparent.
The funny thing is that those COD kids that are crying about the slayer logi would know nothing about it since there are no GÇ£classesGÇ¥ in COD. Those that are QQing and used to play BF, well I used to play STRICT support class and with an LMG, I would be the murdering bane of most of my opponentsGÇÖ existence while supporting my squad and platoon. And those that have come from EVE thinking that logistics means sitting in the back, well this isnGÇÖt EVE. You do the flying, WE DO THE DYING.
My existence on the ground is a much shorter one than what you have in orbit. You can leave and sit to a POS or a station to refit without fear of attack. I on the other hand must do everything in the heat of combat and potential danger while also being limited to where I can be on the map.
EVE pilots have NONE of our limitations.
Needless to say the points of context that all of the parties that have been crying out for the nerf hammer to be dropped on the logis due to effectiveness in the battle field are being narrow-minded and unimaginative.
If you even read Templar One, you would see that Victor was an obvious Logi, and a slayer at that. I DO NOT SEE THE PROBLEM.
Open your eyes and begin to see that the box that you think is nice, cozy, and safe will only be the coffin that you will be buried in. That is unless you are able to break free and see the possibilities.
The solution to this IMAGINED problem is to allow for greater adaptability of other suits.
