Am I just missing or am I right in thinking that its not possibl atm? I've tried and tried taking out equip with the sniper rifle and I can't seem to get it.

I do it all the time. It's just hard when they are at an angle, or when a Duvolle is murdering you.

It's possible, but it can be hard to pinpoint the exact location of the equipment when the only thing you have to go off of is the pulsing circle emanating from it. Not to mention it can be difficult to tell if there's an object obstructing the actual shot.

Last night sniped an uplink and got a kill, must have been a really low tanked scout who didn't become visible before I shot him in the toes even after it came up I killed him no body appeared it was weird lol.
TEST signature please help me think of a better one.

on a side note, i love dropping a remote explosive on top of a hive, then as soon as someone spawns, blow them and the nanohive up

Totally doable.
When your white dot in the center turns red, start shooting.
2 shots from my Tactical, usually just 1 from a NT-511, and it's "**** You, Mr. Well-Placed Uplink" time.

You have to have a line of sight to it. Usually, your reticule will turn red. You have to aim slightly above center on the equipment. The top one third is the sweet spot.

Possible
Hives - you can use the bubble to estimate the centre, actually the easiest to hit
Uplinks - Harder to hit easier if you use the force to guide your shot (intuition, and estimation)
RE - Hardest at great distances, you literally have to see them, which can be hard even up close  Satisfying when you see someone drop them and you shoot the RE before they move (only pulled that off twice ever.

As an occasional red line sniper I want to be able to destroy my own equipment. I like the speed of Ishukone Guaged Nanohives, but I only need them for a single speedy supply burst of my Charge Riffle. After supply I would like to be able to destroy them to eliminate their persistent bubble signature on the tac-net map.

That's why you place them away from your position when you use them.
Uneducated players have them become beacons to them. Educated players can already destroy their nano hive when done.

...nanohives don't spawn...
Also, I've done it repeatedly, they're just paper-thin at sniping distance. Look for the red reticule.

Yep definetly possible. Generally only try it when the image of the equipment type pops up then move the reticule around until it turns red. However, you have to contend with the terrain glitch so it is better if you can look down on the target. Basically the same principle as a headshot. |

destroyed a uplink at about 450m before, was bored and couldn't kill anyone at that distance so i figured what the fuzz and started shooting at the uplinks.

Wait until your reticle turns red, that means you have a direct line of shot (usually). |

It's possible, in fact I do this regularly.
It is kinda hard though sometimes, which is why you should wait until the reticule on your scope goes red before firing. It guarantees a hit. (As long as you don't get the hit detection bug
