Midframe guy: Sinboto why to you use that class, the scout is kinda useless and you get shreded in PC.
Sinboto:It's not useless it can speed tank!
Midframe guy: speed tanking is useless, and I can do it better.
Sinboto: it's sheild rechange and recharge delay is amazing!
Midframe guy: you're dead before it has the chance to kick in, and with some mods I'm still better then you.
Sinboto: well we can avoid scanners easier!
Midframe guy: and sacrifice one or both of your low slots in the meantime.
Sinboto: we have larger scan radius.
Midframe guy: yeah from 10 to 16 and you've gotta sacrifice a low to use range mods and perhaps a high for precision.
Sinboto: active scan-
Midframe guy: you get no bonuses for that, better on a logi or assault.
Sinboto: we're good sni-
Midframe guy: don't finish that sentence you'll loose al credibility as a scout.
Sinboto: we are the best nova knifers!
Midframe guy:......damage mods give similar preformance and with more ehp, good job almost got me there.
Sinboto: what about the shotgun?

Scouts maybe worthless, but when I fought against your team a few days ago; you were ridiculously hard to kill in your proto scout (yes I know that is a contradiction in terms, also first time seeing a name I recognized on the forum in a match other than corp mates.) |

600+ armor, 7.0 sprint speed.
Yup. Throw on a complex sprint mod and its 500 armor with almost 8 sprint speed.
Minmatar Assault/basic frame can go 9.6 sprint with two complex...and have 400-500 shields.
Scouts need either cloaking or a super fast regulation speed.

I like this idea, I think all scouts like this idea.

I say scouts should share their passive scan results with their squad and anyone they aim at whose scan profile is lower than the scouts scan precision will also be shared with the squad. That would set us aside enough, wouldn't it?

I don't know...The only time I've gotten sexy time while playing Dust was when I was logibro'n it up.
I never knew how much concentration is required to play this game until the first time that happened...but I'm guessing she didn't even know what I was doing anyways.
Back on topic:
Today a gallente scout kicked my ass...first time that happened since the closed beta.
He was using an AR though, but man he was fast.

Although, an interesting thing has occured to me that I've observed wtih the exodus from scouting. Good or great scouts make great or godlike assault an logi's. Maybe the scout should be used to garner skills you wouldn't get while using an actual viable suit.

You would get good too if you had to endure hell with the suit 24/7.
The best scouts were forged in the deepest fires of AR 514 hell, and we came out stronger because of it.

I usually scout but I have an Assault alt as well (its nice skilling into base shield/armour and actually getting something for it  )
Whenever I do assault I do well above my skill level. I keep getting GG mails and asked what weapon I used. Always surprises them I do better without an AR.
On my heavy alt I've devastated other proto heavies too.
Being a scout means you play smart and maximise your advantages, which crosses over to all aspects of the game
