Quote:The following topics were discussed by the dev team this week regarding gameplay issues in the beta:
Casual vs. Hardcore players in DUST 514
Player concern on how will casual players be able to keep up with hardcore players who might spend more time playing and gaining an advantage in SP and ISK.
Planned resolutions - A revamped reward system will narrow the gap between casual and hardcore players - Match Making system (introduced soon) will help put players into fair matches - Dropsuit HP will be more consistant to avoid some becoming overpowered
Over a year ago this was posted and yet here we are still with no revamped SP reward system, a matchmaking system that does not put players into fair matches, and we all are still dealing with the QQing about OP Dropsuit HP's.

Why was this game pushed into a release status again?

The HP thing was fixed. The issue is the modules we place on proto suits that make them op now
There arent enough players to make a balanced match making system. They tried, and it failed. Only thing left is the academy which ends after 1-3 games when it should end after 1-3 months.

People will complain about the adv/proto suits ehp as long as there's a difference, everything from stamina to base health has been nerffed to hell and yet people still ***** moan and complain about it.

So then how is the HP thing fixed? Because it sure in hell is not "consistant".

I gotta say that these are the numbers 1 through 3 for biggest problems that the game faces today. So ideas to fix them...
Revamping the rewards system IS something under the dev's control that will have a definite positive effect if done correctly. some have suggested alternate ways of doing this, but the main problem is to keep people playing even after they hit thier skillpoint caps so that the numbers of players doesn't shrink.
Matchmaking, at its best, will only work with larger numbers of players. But because players are intelligent, they will always figure out how to manipulated it. There is no real fix for this. Only bandaids.
They already stated that they redid the HP stuffs on suits. They will probably continue to redo small adjustments like this to the game every year as this happens in EVE to ships all the time too. The real issue is that in a game where you have a ton of variables (ie modules/equipment that players get to decide on equipping as they want to), players will use their brains and figure out combinations that were never conceived of originally and use that to their advantage. This is intended.
But yeah, the three largest issues for this game are also the three most difficult to solve.

So then how is the HP thing fixed? Because it sure in hell is not "consistant". back during replication, and the beginning of the E3 build, high tier suits had higher base hp which made them god like when fitted with the best gear. That later changed when all base hp stats were flattened, and the only thing separating suits from each other are their slots, CPU, and PG.
Just think of how bad it could be if that never happened. Gal logos would have close to 1500 armor.
