Relax. He's simply linking it in response to that thread, but if you actually read the comment under the link he clearly states that they'll be changing the bonuses, not the weapons, to balance the Logistics suit.
Ya'll need to be less knee-jerk reactionaries.

Ya'll need to be less knee-jerk reactionaries. then why the hell is everyone crying logi's all have useless bonuses anyway well amarian logi does...
Because that's what people on this forum do, they cry about everything.
Logistics really should have bonuses that allow them to use equipment better, dont you think? Makes sense for their intended roll.
Also the most likely course of action is not necessarily making the logistics worse at killing, but making the Assaults clearly better at it. You have the understand that almost all of the current bonuses your suits have are *placeholder* bonuses and were basically used while they finished all the racial variants and added more weapons.
I expect to see a general overhaul of suit bonuses in post 1.7 updates.

Well they link the thread because its the source of the suggestion/complaint, even if its a bad one. It doesn't necessarily mean they agree with the thread, merely that they're responding to it.
Everyone just needs to relax, rampant speculation leads to rampant panic, and that's not going to help anyone.

Sana Rayya wrote:I don't understand why CCP doesn't simply issue a statement, "The light weapon slot of Logi suits will not be touched". It would silence many of the worries (and hence threads) on the subject.
That's because the community is so tense and loves to freak out and take offhanded comments as fact, that they've made CCP terrified of saying anything at all.
As an example I was at a roundtable in EVE Vegas with the developers just talking about various ideas and whatnot. As we were walking out down the hall, someone mentioned "Hey can we get APCs in Dust?" and the dev shrugged and said "Well that would likely be an MAV, it's something we'd like to do at some point but we're focusing on other stuff right now"
20 minutes later there is a tweet from the player who asked the question "MAVs CONFIRMED FOR 1.7!"
I talked to the dev again later that night at the party and he was just facepalming over it. They basically can't say anything because someone hears what they want to hear and then makes a huge fuss about it.

Because saying "No" would explicitly say they have no plans for them. Which is false.

Well that is true, where do you think the reactors on EVE ships run off of? They gotta get Tear-fuel somewhere.

I think promoting a PR philosophy where a company says what it doesn't mean isn't exactly a good thing.

I guess I'm just a very patient person? So what happens when their Soon's and Maybe's turn into No's and Never's? Will you still be happy? Will they still be telling you one thing and meaning it or will they be telling you one thing and meaning another?
*shrugs* Then its whatever. I'm not going to be a pessimist just to avoid having my hopes let down. Maybe means it could be a yes or a no, 50/50 chance. I don't see any deception in that. Besides, situations change and one can't predict everything. Who am I to get all up in arms over that?

How responsible...also, the lack of good communication with CCP DUST is getting more obvious and obvious. lol yeah it does
Hard to have *good* communication when 99% of the forums is nothing but attempts at *bad* communication.
