Planetside 2 also. sometimes you would see 4 medics following around one dude. AND HE SIR MUST FEEL LIKE AN IMMORTAL!

The medic in GA was arguably the best killer with it's various poison auras, grenades, etc.
Original planetside 'support' class was a guy with a medic tool and an engi tool. He also had to be good at shooting.

Pretty sure medic guns in PS2 are badass unless they changed them since I played last. Vanu's H-V45 or the default gun. Both were amazing iirc and I killed a lot more than I healed/revived.

nah mate, you're getting a nerf but take it like a man, your suit was op and you're a fool to think otherwise, will it be side arm only? probably not. you might get a weapon damage reduction or lose a few tank slots. I think he just linked that thread because it had a lot of posts.

It's not about whether they could kill. Combat Medic. FPS aren't mmo. But It was that medics didn't make up the majority of the best killers.
unless your name was BF, then medic lived up to support role. does it mean they didn't shoot a gun at all? of course not. But they weren't killing machines either.
PL2 Medics were support. You didn't see many of em owning the field. same with GA. Same with KZ. And in KZ4 the heavy is the medic! lol But they ain't lighting the field up.
BF made "medic" (and I put that in quotation cause I think it was a mistake for them to do that) the AS guy. or vice versa. They were made up many of the primary role.
Tho IMO it shouldn't have been.
I've come in 1st many times in BF3 with recon. (SMG) But there is no way I'm gonna say a recon can out do the front line better then a AS. |

Death medics were great in pub matches but as the goons learned quickly they don't hold up well in tettorty matches as other mediacd and base robos just cleared the debuffs. Also I argue that deathmedics don't count as a support class it moved to a debuff class pdq.
Planetside everyone is a rifleman first using that argument there was no support class. But true support players could defend themselves but they were to busy flying the loadstar ams galaxy transport. Putting down mines or healing and picking people I
