I'm too scared to spec into any of the specialist suits because of an impending change that may, or may not happen. So here i am with my proto frames wondering what the **** I should spec into that wont be considered a waste. 
This impending logi nerf may just be the beginning of a series of nerfs!

Core skills won't change spec into them.

Its fairly clear how CCP view each of the different suits. Pick the vision that appeals to you most and spec into that.
If the reality doesn't currently match the vision, campaign here on the forums for change, using constructive, informed opinions & suggestions. You will be doing so knowing that what you are advocating is likely to be reasonably well aligned with CCP's own plans.
The only thing you really should not do, if you are worried about protecting your SP investment in the long term, is spec into an item deliberately because it is currently filling a role it was clearly not intended for.

I feel like it's pretty much pointless to spec into anything past ADV now and days because they can't leave good enough alone. Core skills will be maxed but otherwise everything is just an SP toxic dump site.

Spec into something fun! I'm going back to my logi roots Nerf or not because I miss it and I had a lot of fun with it before uprising. |

Don't feel bad, they nerfed the hell put of the swarm launcher even tho it is only used for one thing.
Lost 2 rounds from the mag, "gained" increased lock on time(same crap, just doesn't glitch as much) lost 55 percent of our range and 110 points of dmg from each rocket.

I think plasma cannon is fairly safe, considering the physical impossibility of it getting nerfed any more.
