--This is the general feel to each game. you try to bring out a vehicle to tactically support your team, denied. you try to bring out a proto just so you can test it. denied. you try to make a living like all the PC guys do in one battle, denied.

I am slowly seeing a large group of people who are forced to use standard and MLT/starter fits just because they are doing so poorly, and then a tiny group at the top that always proto stomps, and since the large majority uses low tier stuff proto's are supper effective.

First reason I hoard ISK and for some reason i am afraid to drop below 170 Million ISK Second reason I do not is to give newer players a better playing experience and put us on a more level playing field. I know my core skills are maxed and this gives me an advantage, but I also know if they play well I can die just like everyone else. I would love to run proto but it cost a lot and the risk is not worth the reward. If I lose 1 suit I might break even, lose 2 very good chance I will not break even, lose 3 and I am negative. If I do this 10 battles a day I will be broke in no time at all. My play style is very aggressive and I attend to over extend myself, but I do it because I want to win and do the best I can for my team. Do not eat the yellow snow

I run mostly advanced suits and weapons because they are almost as effective as prototype and much cheaper. Sometimes I use standard for the challenge and sometimes prototype for the shiny. With the vehicle buy back in 1.7 my wallet will be even fatter but I doubt it'll change what I run. Running the cheapest gear that is useful is also good for not totally breaking the morale of the new berries. The only advanced suit I use these days is the basic heavy and even that is with an advanced HMG. You'd be surprised how many protocubs it takes to bring my **** down in it. Hell, it takes two or three to bring down my standard scouts. Why the would I run proto? That's extremely boring. When the Carnage event started, I popped in with protogear and for my first game, I went 20-0. In a ***** heavy suit that had no reppers, grenades, or secondary. I was so disappointed that I withdrew from the Quafe suit getting portion. I was hopping for people to put up a fight, instead those same people that gang up on the newbloods in their own protogear just lay down and take it like bitches. Talk about embarrassing. For them for crutching, for me for thinking they could fight. You'll find me in Factional Warfare rather often two hours before and after downtime on the Gallente's side. I run either the HMG, logibro, or obscure scout. I've grown fond of using two Assault Scrambler Pistols, but it's getting stale for me. Bah. You'll know it's me in the warbarge because of the red Caldari suit I have on. (I love the reactions that people give when they see it, the irony of all of it, and sheerly because it's red.) I prefer to use Gallentean gear on the battlefield, much more strongly when in FW, though I am limited. When all the suits come in, I'll be one of the first to deploy in the Gallente's armor tanked heavy. One day. Drifting away from all that mess above about Carnage and FW... I run standard, if not militia, to give the newbloods a better chance. I prefer the logibro role because not only does it support my team, but it's one hell of a moral boost for those on the front lines. Running low gear keeps things interesting for me. I also run the most obscure fittings. If you see some Commando running around with Plasma Cannon, Shotgun, and Remote Explosives... <--- This guy.
