Hello,
Recently I've been going back to back against stacked teams. Literally it seems that the matchmaking systems is putting full squads together. The example is that it puts lonewolfers in one side and full squads in the other.
I am compiling a database of this phenomenon. Please post any pictures you can of this. I am compiling a list also. Take snapshots with phones or any other device.
This is so That we have proof to substantiate these claims and the devs can fix it.
Thanks in avdvanced.

Yeap it has been happening for the past 3 months since the 'new' matchmaking system was put into place
CCP don;t seem to think that its a problem ... neither do the CPM's ... neither do alot of the Eve players .... sadly they are all wrong .. it is a MASSIVE problem that they can;t keep ignoring
Who on earth builds a new matchmaker that has more problems than the original lol

Way to talk out of your ass, i have not seen any of those people support current matchmaking mechanics. pretty much everyone thinks it's a problem.

Yup.
Even just having the MMer balance squads per team would to wonders to help.
Might put one protostomping squad on one team, and one on the other.

Its because they are used to a more realistic form of warfare.
In our wars we get equivalent number, variables include gear, and player's active skill.....
In EVE their wars can vary in numbers as corps defect and betray one another in real time, weight on numbers' outside merc corp's all work to increase their corporations numbers, ISK values are vastly greater, locality means something, various strategic ways of bringing down enemy groups.
In Dust.....CCP is being asked by the community to make the game fair.
In EVE it is anything but and you need to be a lot harder because your enemies will do anything to bring you down.

I've been playing this game primarily solo and running at about a 1.2 w/l ratio. Sure I get the occasional stomping by two full squads but I also get to stomp with them on a regular basis. Its essentially random and doesn't really need to be fixed. Most of the ranting and qq about the subject is most likely due to the fact people remember their loses more than the wins. |

Well yes and no. In EvE there is space called High sec where you relatively safe and if someone wants to kill you they will lose their ship to the EvE police called concord.
In Dust the equivalent of a public match should be High sec, where the ground is somewhat fair, Low sec is factional warfare and Null sec should be PC.
Those standard are what have kept eve alive all this time. It has a place for every type of play style

Yeah i don't know if it stacks one team but the number of good enjoyable matches to the number of stomps is pretty low. Something needs to be fixed, it is devastating to new comers. Anyway I've already tried to convince people to stop actively stomping newberries... Fail. Apparently wanting good matches means I'm a QQer and suck. So **** it. Adapt or die I guess |

Exactly but High sec isn't composed of just miners. Suicide ganking means you will lose you ship period. No ands ifs or butts. Fair play doesn't mean safe. It just means Goons arent going to come and kill you you with their cap[itals every other day without it being economically viable.

You can still get ganked in high sec. Sorry my mind set comes from Dark Souls where you could do some very nasty things to people, newbies, veterans, almost game ruining things to certain people..... I did all of those things to people many many times.
Like in DKS, EVE, and Dust....you really have to HTFU and get on with it.
There is very rarely a time in EVE when people agree to bring the same numbers of fighters to an engagement. Alliance tourney aside.
And yeah we know Goon would burn down New Eden if they could.

I think it would mean putting full squads opposing each other instead of having two full squads in one team vs a bunch of randoms. It means having a rating systems for which you select fights. so for example if one team hase a lot of players with a history of protostomping, put those agains players with a history of protostomping.
I went against a full team of ancient exile and outer heaven. That is 12 coordinated, protostomping players in one team. Wouldnt that same match be more interesting if those corps where on opposing sides?? These are public matches and as such such not be that lopsided

We're only asking CCP for a sembalance of fairness since all conflict is confined to the Lobby, give us shared instances like Eve and then bin the trash matchmaking.
I can see no other way that HTFU won't totally cripple new player retention.

I know what you mean. Couple weeks ago I was in a full squad other squad was full of O.H. other team was ALL npc corps. Two minutes in all you saw was proto caldaris slaughtering with duvolles.
I messaged the guy who placed first( forgot the name was some dumb stoner name kush something) asked him why they couldn't put away the ducvolles vs randoms. His response "And not use the weapon I skilled into? **** randoms."

Its odd the only other good PvP game I was ever good at, and I was very good at it, not the best, but certainly one of the best, was Dark Souls, Dust is the first FPS I have played, attempted, competitively, where I actually care about my meagre 2.62 ( and growing) KDR.
But I already quit a month ago and only came back between XCOM playthroughs, and Mass Effect sessions.

Which game mode (s)? I have been noticing the same. However, this may be a bias as we are more likely to have a strong negative emotional reaction when we are lone wolfing on the blue berry team against full squads vs situations of being mixed in full squads.
Oh, sht! I just learned you can make a signature! Thanks, CCP! Forums are getting better!

That wasn't directed at you btw just generally annoyed how people think they are so good in games that have respawning, no FF, etc. But I am a socom vet so my idea of "being good" and "skill" is a lot different than most who rely on HUDs, perks, OP guns and thinks of that nature.

Yup that's a typical response. I made a thread asking people to tame down pubs for the good of the new player base and got an overwhelming response "why did I waste all this sp to not use proto always" . Arguing with them is hopeless. They are tryhards and aren't going to stop. The worst thing is that people in big corps don't have to stop because they make ridiculous cash stomping, widening this gap even further. All we can do is hope they fix matchmaking
