Open up your market in game, go to any dropsuit category, scroll to the very bottom. What are the ONLY proto-whats-its in the list? The AUR ones! So when you are claiming PROTO whatever are you refering to the AUR equivalents or are you refering to the LEVEL 5 CERT version of the suits?!? Please get your terms straightened out!
Second, are you complaining about the disparity between fully skill players versus not fully skilled players or the disparity between a fully stacked corp team versus a bunch of pick-up players in a match? Because both of those make a difference too!
So to fix the first problem, yes a better matchmaking system would help, but no solve it. Because once players figure out the system, they'll just find other ways around it. Also it fails late at night when there are fewer players to choose from when making the matches, so they end up more lopsided when player numbers are lower.
As to the second issue, CCP really need to understand that not everything is based on the squad level and since they made the matches capable of fielding a platoon of up to 3 squads, then they should just acknowledge that and implement a way in the game to link multiple squads together in the game. Cuz this would allow EVERYONE to do it and thus counter the FEW that are already doing it and taking advantage of it now. This is meant to be a cooperative game and the difficulties in setting up cooperation in this game are stupid. Since players want the ability to enter the same match with the same squads and have gone to the extreme to do time syncing in order to make it happen, then guess what? You won't be able to stop them! So make this available to ALL so that ALL will be fair. Because any less is just perpetuating the QQ's and whining that you see on the forums.
This is someone who is up and coming . You use your brain ( sad , that I can't say that about most who play this game and write threads as well ) keep up the good work . People like you and your thinking WILL help to make this game succeed . This game needs MORE players like yourself and most of these complaints will turn into threads where people will and are using reasoning and logic to bring about solutions instead of adding to the problem . I like your style , keep up the good work !!!!

battle 1 academy - 26-4 1st battle 2 - I ended up facing a proto stomp on my first battle outside the academy 2-11 3rd battle 3 - fairish battle 12-12 6th battle 4 - stomped again 1/9 8th battle 5 - close battle 18/9 2nd
why is my alt playing the same people as my main?
i already have a good idea about the game so i farmed some WP's in the battles i got stomped in and my isk pay-outs were not bad.
if i was a RL newb i would have done alot worse in all the games - the fact that there is little to no tiering makes the step up ridiculous and you can see why many will not stay on.
if dust wants to grow we need tiered battles ( gear and SP wise) and a longer wait for battles is the price we must pay.
Here we go with the gear and skill point frame of thinking . Like I have said before , that will do nothing . If you have a player with maxed out skills , who's weapons perform better because of that , then the gear will not make any difference . Place some one who has maxed out their AR branch of their skill tree , against someone who hasn't but your placing them in the same gear and the maxed out will win every time . Total skill points pose a problem as well because that's still not a level of someone's strength . You can have a below than average player with an OB and they can look like a vet if they understand their strengths and weaknesses and play to their strengths .
Your equipment matters , your battlefield awareness matters , knowing your strengths and weaknesses matter , having people along side of you who understand what the concept of team is matters , how one plays their game and knowing your role matters . Yes equipment matters but if you place the same equipment on two different player , one with maxed out skills and the other average , the one who is maxed out will always win . EDIT: I shouldn't have said always but their weapons and their suits I.E. equipment will perform better .
Total skill points really don't tell you how effective a player is , it just tells you that they have been at this longer . That's not a measure of one's strengths and weaknesses . Someone can have a massive amount of skill points but have them placed into their core skills or vehicles ( which wont help if their on the ground in assault mode ) and some have portioned them out in an attempt to be more well rounded .
We can come up with a solution but it will take ALL of us on the same page working together but what's the chance of that ??? Most want to be right in their beliefs and are not willing to compromise . It takes someone who is secure with themselves to admit when they are wrong and are willing to listen to a plan that will bring about a solution . Everyone's opinion matters and we can actually bring all the ideals to one table ( that's what we will have to do ) to hash out a solution .
