If you have max dampaing skills you can avoid STD scanners on a medium suit.
I think max skill, 1 complex and a enhanced will stop Proto scanners.

Well a medium suit hast a base scanprofile of 50db. Now you need to get that value below the active scanner precision.
For a std ISK scanner (46 db) one militia/basic dampener would be enough
For an adv scanner (36 db) you would need a complex one (normally a complex one would not be enough but in order to use a complex dampener you need profile dampening at 5 granting you an inherent bonus of 10% to your profile)
For a proto scanner (28 db) you need one complex and one advanced dampener
For the focussed scanner you would need 4 complex dampeners.
But still the person using a scanner will know that there is somebody in the scanning arc all you can hide through dampeners is your exact position on the tac net. |

I wish CCP would add profile data to the suit fitting window so I can confirm my numbers.

running four damps is also suicide fyi
sneeky med frame is a shield tank probably caldari proto
highs take your tank mods
lows 2 damps and an armor rep
cal med 50db
10% passive damp
cpx damp -25%
adv + stacking ~14%
total ~49%
cal proto = ~25db
somebody check my math I'm not sure I got the stacking penalty correct

My tables go up to three modules. I never bother with computing more than that due to stacking penalties and creating a totally lame fit. If you need to avoid the super scanner then best to run a scout suit.

As of yesterday the caldari std frame has 50db and the gallente light frame has 45.

CCP had a damage modifier value on the fitting screen that was affected by damage mods, but they took it out for some unknown, asinine reason.

Complex & you'll never see "YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED" every full 5 minutes in your FACE unless they have a proto scanner but the majority never skill that high with scanners |
