So with 1.7 coming I decided to look back at the vehicle skill list and this may have already been mentioned somewhere but i noticed they took out Mobile CRU Operations and put MCRUs under Vehicle Engineering with no mention of a pg/cpu reduction in the description of the skill.
Has there been any mention of a pg/cpu change to this module?
As it stands this thing drains a lot of pg and the current Mobile CRU Operations skill is useless and only reduces cpu which leaves it rather hard to fit on my Myron Dropship (though the Grimsnes seems to handle it well enough).
Any info on what is happening with MCRUs in 1.7 would be much appreciated. |

I still would like to get info on this. I really enjoy using dropships especially for their intended role but the pg consumption of the MCRU takes away a lot of fitting options/survivability from the Myron. |

I believe there will still be a MCRU It will not be called a clone vet bay. |

but will there be a skill to reduce pg consumption or do you know if they are planning to add a variant that uses less pg? |

Also I may be mistaken but the skill may also include Adv and proto MCRU's in future.
My guess is faster spawn ins?

I actually hope that the CRUs have a finite number of clones. Furthermore, I don't even like the idea of CRUs. what scfi reasoning can they possibly have behind CRUs?
You mean to tell me that this small structure houses an infinite amount of clones, not only does in house an infinite amount of clones but all the fittings and suits they require?
Sorry but no, I can get behind uplinks but CRUs and mobile CRUs just make me shake my head in belief. |

Mobile CRUs are very important. FPS is all about controlling spawns. A dropship with a CRU can make a huge impact. He just goes into a flight pattern and you spawn in and he drops you off where you need to be most effective then resume the flight pattern. They do take space up on fits, so you have a specialty DS specifically made for it. Its for certain maps, certain situations; not for all the time use. |

this would be fine with me as long as it lets me resupply at a supply depot.
i have never actually thought about it but your comment makes a lot of sense lol

Its no different than a supply depot. It reanimates the clone from the host clone blueprint. Its not actually stuffed with clones and gear. They should just call them Uplink Depots. |

If that's the case I can get behind that and Mobile CRUs make much more sense. |

It's the only way that I can think of without it being far-fetched. That, or there are Biomass containers and Nanite containers. The Biomass makes the Clone, the Nanites make the gear.
