Does anyone happen to know approximate (or even exact) figures to dropsuit masses per class? I am trying to figure out a novel new gun mechanic that requires that information for damage balancing purposes.
Jadek Menaheim wrote:I'm calling it the Run Gun initially (please suggest better names).
The premise is that the gun does not carry ammo or exchangeable battery cells, but rather uses the electrical potential of the entire dropsuit. It converts friction and the kinetic force needed to move a given mass over a 1m distance into a charge that's usable by the gun. Thanks for your help and consideration.

I'm still reaching out to a CPM or Dev to help clarify the correct mass of dropsuits. CCP Wolfman, would your team know about this? There's a high mass Honey lamb moving at a great velocity in your direction for kindly assistance.

I know longer have an eve account, but this info could probably be found in the database. |

Edit: I just looked via Neocom (iPhone app) and mass is shown as 0kg. 0kg? Lol, I understand that they're power assisted suits, but that seems a wee bit light. And Eve Battle Clinic doesn't list the attributes for Dropsuits, yet.

Even HAVs show 0kg. It's just a unfilled attribute. I don't think they are available to move around in Eve yet, so it's an unneeded attribute so far. |

Well that's unfortunate. Still, if you could, what would you wager the mass to clock in at?

Where is your thread for the weapon posted, feedback/suggestions? Linky? Or is it even posted yet?
Weapon name: the rolling stone.

Bearing in mind these values sometimes show things like 23018241320941323kg for a single unit of ore.

Do a little research you should be able to put a figure together. I think dust clones are supposed to be something like 9' tall or something (someone from the community will probably be along to correct me shortly, if not ask in another thread I know the info is out there somewhere). So get on google and figure out the average weight of a 5' man 6' man and 7' then do the calculations for a 9' man. Then add a little weight because clones are suposed to be fit and buff. Then add another hundred or so pounds for the dropsuit.

Here is the weapon in the feedback section. It would take the place of the Ion Pistol to assist the game devs in using in house assets.

Now there's something I didn't think of before. I wonder if the use of inertial dampeners could play into your mechanic of capacitor charge. There must be some type of heat build up when you use those dampeners.

Got to love CCP's twitter response to this question. Even if it didn't completely answer my question, the response still made my day!
