What is wrong with you doomsayers? I mean cmon we're beating some numbers back from june for crying out loud.
LOL, your own link at the time I clicked on it, said max online in a 24 hour period was 4443. In other words, about the same as always. While this proves the doomsayers about ps4 may have initially been incorrect in thinking it would be an instant kill, it does not mean there is any growth to dust. There is not any growth to dust. Face it, this game will be like Mag. It will have a small but insanely devoted group of people that play it constantly. As a result, Dust can last about 4-5 years like mag did. It will not be the end all be all of gaming like you delude yourself into thinking.
P.S. IWS you are also forgetting a couple of things regarding the next gen consoles. Some folks always wait a few months before getting next gen consoles to wait for the bugs to be fixed. So while they did not get them right away, they will get them in a few months. You are also not considering the fact that there will be a shortage of the next gen consoles in the US through the holiday season as it is next to impossible to find one right now in certain cities as they have sold out. There are folks that will continue to look for them and when they get their hands on a next gen, they may very well quit dust. They just do not have the ability to do so yet |

As I mentioned in another thread, Dust is very similar to Mag's track. Mag's player base dwindled quickly just like Dust. Those that remained were a fanatical fan base that kept a broken game going on for 4 years. (yes it will be four years come January which is its last month to live.) Dust seems like its fanatical fan base can keep it alive for about 4-5 years as well. However, it will need to eventually port to PS4 to do so. So relax hardcore dust players. Your game will not die anytime soon. It may be a ghost town with the same folks in lobbies over and over, but hey so was mag and it survived longer than it should have. |
