I have fixed 7 ps3 systems (and permanently broken 3 when i attempted to remove the integrated heat sink) The money these companies want for these systems is much more than what they are worth to me personally. Maybe when the kids are older and they want to use the systems as well.
On a side note the numbers for dust really aren't all that great. I dont even know of another game that i can think of that posts such low numbers.
Most other games don't even post at all.
In general for not a top line (games that get plastered on front of every game website well after launch) product we're fairly average as some snooping around found out about other games. Some numbers revealed we're doing much better than some even who have a playing cocurrent numbers around the hundreds.

But i guess a lot more people have a pc than a ps3.
Not everyone has steam either who which steam does provide numbers for at some companies own displeasures.

What is wrong with you doomsayers? I mean cmon we're beating some numbers back from june for crying out loud. Wow you really are the worst CPM ever... dude seriously go home. Anyway, down to it: here's a little statistics for our genius CPM based on weekly peaks: Oct 26 active players: 4156 Oct 26 new players: 767 Nov 2 active players: 4180 Nov 2 new players: 667 ... where did all the new players from Oct 26 go? wait let's give Nov another chance. Nov 9 active players: 4398 Nov 9 new players: 661 getting better... so far 242 out of the previous 1434 new players stuck around. Maybe there is more to come? Nov 16 active players: 4073???? what happened? Nov 16 new players: 826 Let me get this straight... so far -83 of the previous 2095 new players of previous weeks stuck around? Lets do one more week: Nov 23 active players: 3875 Nov 23 new players: 801 Ok so far? -281 of the previous 2921 new players stuck around. Or better put... ALL new players have left and 281 vets have left... but you are right... today is a good day. Let's also keep in mind that Nov events were basically a bribe to all players to come back online. Imagine if there was no bribe?
Sigh I am not bad at reading graphs, I just don't have the means to read the graphs like Mr. Veldspar does. In order to measure the entire player base you have to measure the area of the frequency above zero for 30 instances of the frequency. Also all the math I been taught so far only measure area of a frequency if the frequency is bell shaped perfectly (normally distributed) which is highly possible to do if you rearrange the numbers on a single instance of the frequency. From there you get you find your deviation, tolerances, and zscores and do the math. Bunch of boring stuff really.
That aside your conclusion that new born players are not translating into new players participating has a factor you may not accounted for. That its counting characters, not accounts. So unless we know how many alts are being made a day we're having a bad means telling who's what. You are right to assumed that despite the alt factors that some of these new players should be translating to higher numbers throughout the day but like I said unless you're measuring the volumes of the frequency over a period of time you're not going to be getting an accurate number.

Ok so let's do it your way by only choosing days that support me. Where you took the highest day last week, I will take the lowest of days last week and compare it to the plataux of recent. And then I will win. Sound fair?
Also... all this means is Dust is dying slower this month. Well done.
Uhm you just proved you failed at reading.

This graph represents what I am meaning that needs measurement.

To see what i normally thought to be a white kitten to pop out of the rabbit's gut like the larva from aliens was a bit scary.

I want you from this point forward report every thread that decides "hey let's look at dust population chart and let's widely speculate its dying" then.
Also I highly suggest looking up trolling and what generally happens in a successful troll. Generally I am a total failure of a troll to based on that fact alone.

I don't think so. There are more noteworthy threads of my failure yet the community can't seem to stay focused enough to ostrasize me on the more critical things I have said or done wrong. Most of those are locked now due to timeout.

As in: Iron Wolf Saber wrote: My life of failure
You sir would have to know that perfection of any lifeform is a fallacy. All are prone to failure, there are those who dwell on it and those just plow through and move on.

We never had 9k players though that was an api error. Similar to PS2 having 2 million in a spike.

The player counts have been pretty much the same since chromosome.
Scrolling back the player report was 6.4k.
