wow awesome, nice one for spamming the forums.
You could have given a link. But wait, the devs and GMs should give a link, when somebody breaks the rules and needs to be reminded of them.
We don't need you to copy and paste for 10 posts just because you feel like it.
you sir, are a grade-A moron
reported for being an idiot.

Yes Scheherazade, I could have given a link. Because you would have followed the link to read the EULA. I'm sure you read this one here..........
One thread and i'm spamming the forums? By that logic your single post on this thread is considered spam. Should I be as petty as you apparently are and report you? |

Would you post these Ts & Cs if CCP decided that the game should become a cooking sim? It's in their legal right, so you wouldn't-ácomplain at all?
You've missed the point of pretty much all issues raised on these forums OP.
No.

Sweet, that will help me carefully control the darkness of my sugary crust better. +1 for UP plasma torches in Cooking514!

They're not law, but they do provide fair warning that sometimes things may change and you may not like it. If you didn't read the eula that's your problem... if you want to take it to courts you need to prove the eula is unenforceable. |

If they wanted to make Dust a cooking sim, that would be on them. Plenty of people, who have paid real money to play Dust, have left the game for various reasons, yet most of those people haven't bombarded the forums with post demanding their money back. I have personally already stated that I fully expect all my current BPOs to be taken at some point. Whether that will happen or not remains to be seen, but if it is for the health of the game I have no qualms with it.
Sure, I posted the EULA as a statement, and many will not read it. But I brought it up due to one of the "CCP needs to change it's business practices" posts.
And my point has been the one that is missed. If people would read the EULA, CCP is not the one to contact with grievances about in game purchases. That would be Sony Online Entertainment Europe.
Bottom line, CCP more than has their butts covered. BUT, if some one was to try and take action, they would technically need to contact SNEE.
But no, many others must resort to name calling (not you Munkey) and are only interested in a witch hunt. If they want to spout off on the forums about the evils of CCP, which is all fine and good. But the best way to get what they want is to actually use the proper channels.
But since it's a beauty contest, not a real attempt to fix an issue, they parade around the forums screaming bloody murder

Someone can disagree with you because you're being a whiny idiot without needing to be involved in some giant conspiracy. |

lol, I wish I was a CCP alt. I'd have a good job, wouldn't have to be going back to college. I'd also live in Iceland, which would be sweet. I currently live in the buttcrack of America, Homestead Florida.
But no, i'm not a CCP alt. It would have served your forum offensive better to refer to me as a CCP lawyer.
And if by "defending CCP" you mean i'm trying to get a select few to read the document they already agreed to, then yea, I guess I am defending CCP. If these few would follow the EULA, they could actually get their case moving by contacting the proper people about their issue. Instead they have chosen to grandstand and try to start a pissing contest here on the forums. |

Companies have to constantly protect themselves against the consumers from their own stupidity, EULA's creation is nearly equivalent to warning labels.
I mean what if a warning label was written in the same language as the EULA?
"By sipping this Cup you agree to the terms of our EULA, that the contents may be hot and can cause serious harm and injury to which you will not hold McDonalds liable for any injuries that you incur during your product use as we already sufficiently warned you about the hot contents on our advertising, our menu, and on the product itself. Nobody will read it here, nobody would read it if I provided a link, and nobody will follow IWS's link he posted in another thread a bit ago. While I guess this thread could be considered spamming, it is 1 thread, and it is my thread. I was going to TLDR all the juicy points, but nobody will read that either.
Unfortunately, CCP could send a legal team to the house of every person who thinks about downloading Dust, and have that legal team go over the EULA point for point, with fancy graphs and slide shows, but again, nobody would listen or care. I know I wouldn't. As I have said, I had never read the EULA myself before last night. But having read documents such as this before, I was not at all surprised by any of the terms and conditions in it.
EDIT: Capitalism is a complex and sometimes dirty game. If people are flipping out about the EULA on a free to play game, they would sh*t their pants if they read the EULA/TOS/UA pertaining to any of the other goods/services they make use of throughout their life.
Anyone seen the South Park Human Centi-Pad episode? Fits nicely within the current discussion. |
