One of the definitions of cheesy in this game.
I don't blame Ruq...I blame the developers of this game that thinks this sort of thing is ok, especially for competitive play. This game allows for cheese like this with the weapons and map design. In this case, I'm just disgusted with the MD how you can just spam so many explosives without a reload. That is like a precisions strike with the direct damage and splash damage hitting infantry on the ground.
CCP, you guys can't be happy with this.

It is ridiculous, its why I hate PC, the opposition didn't stand a chance.
Out of all the PC matches I've been in, I've always heard 'We have to get the tower', I dont blame them for doing it though, if they dont, the opposition will.
A weapon meant for area denial, was dominating that one facility.

It's exactly what I expected.....which is why I'm baffled that CCP would have brought all this stuff into this game. It was just disgusting to see the explosives being spammed like that. If the MD had a reload after two explosives, it wouldn't be so bad.

Mass driver has better AOE. However I agree that the height was a bit excessive, he should have been on round bit one level below the one he was on. He could have done just as good of a job, but...... better.

He was only using a single slot for nano hives and it still took 12minutes and 20 seconds to go through his ammo and all the ammo the nano hives gave him, if he spawned in a suit with uplinks and then 3 different nano hives committed suicide then spawned in with his current fit he could have sat up there indefinitely.

Maybe you should ask CCP to fix, and buff Snipers.
Sniper Rifles get blue shield twice as much after the 1.6 patch, and are **** when it comes to headshots, increase Sniper headshot modifier to 250%, and remove the redline in PC.

The sniper was harassing him, but not much else. Besides the MD, look how awesome that scanner was doing. What would be little black dots were glowing red chevrons, allowing him to place his shots much quicker.

Tactically advantageous position that kept him out of assault rifle range, I dont see the problem here.
No forge gun on the opposite tower, no orbital dropped on him, no high altitude dropship dropping a squad on his head.
Agree on headshot modifier to sniper rifle, though. |

I wouldn't mind the sp point spam if they fix the logi suits by reducing the number of high and low slots or nerfing the potential overall ehp that a logi suit can acquire.
Because if a logi is support, getting sps allows them to be as useful on the field as a shooter.

They had a forge up on the tower............but it's not just the high ground it's the explosive spam from the high ground.

My Thale would have ended that very quickly. I love killing people on high places. They can only jump and some do not even make it and die along the fall. This is what would happen on a daily if not every battle type scenario if snipers quit playing. So keep pushing the issue and see how many MD and FG make your lives a living H***.

Actually Shayz and some others like Jetstorm and the guys from against all oddz post videos just of gameplay.
And sometimes the war room has PC videos.
But yeah visualizing the problem in question on the battlefield is super helpful and relevant.

I don't think what Rug did is extremely easy, nor is it easy to counter. Personally I think they should lower the ROF or lower the clip size of the assault variant, but otherwise I actually don't think the MD is currently OP. The rooftop spam win tactics however....you need multiple avenues to get up there. There needs to be more than just getting shot down by forges once you try to counter it, getting got off ladders if there are any, and praying they didn't link spam cause an OB won't take them all off and they'll be back to defending a point with 1-2 guys indefinitely in 5 seconds....

He was hit by a sniper 5-6x, all he had to do was back up so nothing could see him, good thing you watched the video, huh...
Honestly, the other team needed to use a dropship and hotdrop two mercs on him. But I doubt i would have mattered. The team looked to be outclassed and out financed by looking at the killfeed during the match.
Chalk it up to more DUST 514 scrub playerbase that have zero skill but still find ways to succeed.
Now Mr. Wolf, go back to doing whatever it is that you do... What is it that CPMs do again? |

Why would anybody put that on Youtube? 14 minutes of someone camping on a roof in what is supposed to be a competitive game? Why even bother playing if you're scared of the competition? And if he's not scared of the competition, why not play on the ground and give them a run for their money?
The truth is, once these exploits and crutches are removed, people will stop playing, they'll throw their toys out of the pram
because they can't continue to **** on people.
