I was wondering when the enemy has a letter an I'm in my under 28 db scout suit, why can they see me moving in? What is the db of the letter radar? Why can't scouts go undetected to this? Is there a bypass or will there be? What is letter range? When do I know I've entered it? First or second ring on my radar? Can you make 30 db an under not show? |

They will know you are there anyways, because there will be an announcement and the objective icons on the hud will flash. The seeing where you are is really just the icing on the enemy's cake when it comes to retaliating against capture attempts. |

Makes being a scout, an hacking solo, and getting killed by invisible mercs pointless to even run scout for this purposE and it also means that the hack bonus should apply to scouts more than logistics since their hardly ever alone |

Only when I hack , but a scout should be able to hide unnoticed until they clear out, no? Makes the suit more viable |

We've got invisibility, and invulnerability when spawning in already (We're pretty fortunate to be able to spawn at Letters in the first place), we dont need to see everything within 100m of the Objective, thats just stupid.

Seems to be a mechanic that was meant to stop camping but only really hurts scouts (again).
Way this mechanic is/can be superseded.
1. A camping forge gunner with line of site on any letter can insta kill any suit that attempts a hack without first clearing him out.
2. A heavy with an AR or very skilled HMG user, while visible around the objective can tank enough shots at range to down most stragglers who are attempting to overtake the point.
3. Again a medium suit this time equally as tanked with appropriate alpha damage can camp an objective and clear any strays trying to hack the point . Sometimes more effectively and stealthily than the heavy or scout.
Apparently all suits in or around the objective become visible so regardless of how damped your suit is if your hacking in hostile territory don't do it with a scout suit (without a contingency plan).

And if your not killing regardless of role "except logibro's" your just padding someone else's K/D stat.

Objectives don't have 100m range. It's somewhere under 20 and probably more like 10. As an assassin scout I use it to know when to move in to kill so I watch it all the time. Yes, it detects absolutely anybody in that short range but I can't get them to tell me the sensitivity value.

One of the great suggestions to come out of it was that if a scout started hacking a letter the Flashing/warning message would be delayed. And it would scale with level, so a proto scout(perhaps with a hacking stealth skill trained to lvl 5) could finish the hack just as the letter started flashing.
