No thanks on the "random" deploy. CCP's last stab at spawning had at least a 50% chance of putting directly into the path of a bullet. You literally materialized with 2-3 redberries unloading on you.
Their idea of random is code for "target practice". As bad as "smart deploy" is it's noticeably better than earlier attempts.
Seriously though, they should probably just change that button to "deploy". |

lol what dust 514 are u playing? the only different between auto deploy and smart deploy is a word change ..nothing about the actual deployment mechanics has changed..it will still spawn you in the line of fire..it will actually spawn you exactly where you were standing before you died 6 imes ina row so u can die on ur grave repeatedly |

lol especially when you play ambush and guys just keep laying down camp locations for a mob to kill.
They should really separate in game spawn point locations from uplinks. Or better yet, the in game spawn point locations should not be nullified once someone lays down an uplink.
We don't have the brightest of uplink droppers nor sometimes do they really care about the placement. I hate that when I play ambush and the only "smart deploy" it will give me is through the uplink. |

A lot of the confusion about smart deploy comes from the idea that it is choosing the "smart" deployment for you.
It is not.
It is choosing the best deployment of you for your enemies. |
