Stop the nerfing and buffing.. Lets start using other means to balance. Everyone complained about the MD, FG, and flaylock pistol.. Why not create a new Module the reduces explosive damage, instead of nerfing the weapons. Lot of saltiness in people speccing one thing then having it change after their sp is all invested. I understand that certain nerf's and buff's are necessary to balance, but lets use this as a last resort.. Also the good ole logi nerf thread, Lets provide more incentives for killing. Can't remember where I seen it but someone suggest to have honor kills, and payback kills, also kill streaks. All paying more WP. That's technically a buff, but people usually don't get as salty about buff's. |

Putting in things to counter broken things essentially makes that broken. No.
(This would **** with the balance we have now, and would take an entire patch just to fix that little mistake, so we would have to wait for something major like that to happen).
Anyways, Message from Godin: Logi's do need a nerf to their slaying power. Give them reduced weapon damage, but buff their equipment (non-EWAR I might add) power. |

The important point that i'm trying to get across is to not discourage players by changing what they've invested hard earned sp in.
As far as logi's I do agree that their needs to be a more defined line between them and slayers. I think one alternative is to slow them down and make their signature massive, so they're easily seen.. When you think about it, that's what logistics is all about.. They carry all the essentials for combat, which would make them slower, plus all the electronic gear would make them easily visible. |

No.
If a weapon is genuinely the superior option and overshadows all overs (such as the old TAR) then it should be nerfed.
Likewise, if a weapon is god awful (such as the plasma cannon) it should be buffed.
Invested SP does not make fundamental balance concepts go out the window.
I understand your frustration at having SP trapped in what you see as a useless option, but this is not the way to go.
