I really hope so, I doubt they will be changed in 1.7 but I'd really like 1.8 to do something with PG reduction skills.
I'd also like the SP cost to be reduced and or get a increase to the skill by 1-3 percent per level. |

The problem they are facing here is the way the fitting uses whole numbers, but the %reduction skills end up being doubles most of the time, coupled with the small (ish) numbers.
Take the mass driver PG reduction. If it needs 7 pg in fitting, and the reduction is say, 10%, you get a 0.7 reduction. Thanks to rounding thats either 1, or 0. And there in lies the problem, the rounding is way stronger than the actual skill. More than that, people don't know which way it will round, so you're left with this feeling of uncertainty.
If i bump this skill from level 4 to 5 will that extra 3% round it up to the next integer? or do nothing? Who knows!
The reason we haven't heard anything about this is because ccp has no good solutions here. They can either increase the numbers by say, a factor of ten to minimise the effect of rounding (rounding say a 6.5 down to 6 is far better than rounding .65 down to 0), or they need to switch the bonuses over to whole numbers and not percents.
The first option requires changing almost every fitting number in the game, very time consuming and potentially error prone. The second leaves skills with wildy fluctuating strengths, all for the same costs.
If the mass driver was -1 pg per level, that 7pg turns into 2pg, a ~70% reduction in pg cost. If some other weapon was pg heavy and took say, 15pg, then a 5 reduction is only a ~33% reduction.
Not sure how they are going to solve this one.

You better be asking this for the PG skill for vehicles
If its for dropsuits **** off, you already get 5% per level even tho it is a 5x skill, what do vehicles get? nothing but mods instead |

Not sure how they are going to solve this one. Yeah, making it reduce whole numbers would be to inconsistent. As you said, they would have to change all weapons and or alter the skills attached to each one.
That's why I think reducing the SP cost(like they dis with the reload) and maybe bumping it up 1-3 percent per level would at least help.
@Takahiro, Had to make it about tanks ehhh? You know 1.7 is the vehicle overall patch right? Like they are changing every single thing about the skill tree.
I asked a simple question about if they are looking at the PG reduction skill. You know we have to invest a top of sp just to get to it and we have to do this on several weapons, including sidearms. |

Not sure how they are going to solve this one. i dont understand why they cant make that one skill specific to the weapon it applies to hell it requires proficiencies to unlock..every version of that skill should be tailored specifically to the suit it effects..they are looking at it in to much of a general outlook..our not gunna make 1 skill trait for pg reduction that is awesome for all weapons..they should def make it specific to the weapon |

It could do with some kind of balancing as well as multiplier dropping a bit. its far too high for the benefit you're supposed to get. seeing as the skill is seperate for each weapon type then ccp could just have it affect them differently. those weapons with low pg it does 1pg per level. those that are high pg it knocks 2 per level.

I'm guessing he means that everything 0.6 and higher gets rounded up to 1.0 and everything below 0.6 is rounded down.
