What exactly is the method that stops this from happening?
An eve character can donate to a corp they're in. A dust merc can get paid from a CEO.
Corps allow both dust and eve players.
Where did they install the barrier? |

What the method is? CCP's magical switch to not allow any ISK transactions between eve and dust. And yes both wallets are seperated so a Dust CEO cant access the wallet in eve.

TBH the gungame isn't fun at all. I have a proto min logi that I do well with on another character but its just... not my vehicles. |

Eh just get yourself a BPO Logi suit with the militia modules and you're good to go. Things can get dicey against proto but learning to overcome extreme gear differences will make your gun-game better in the long run.

It's not permanent.
CCP will open the floodgates for ISK transfers between DUST and Eve one day but that will require a stable economy and more than likely there will be a heavy tax during each transfer. Once both Eve and DUST economics are equal, then the tax will get reduced or removed.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

they're working on linking the markets right now in fact. at that point there will be isk transfer, but it will be taxed. |

So, are you saying that to defend the current state of the game where transfer is impossible?
Again, you have to think about the fact that a large portion of the EVE player-base now covers their subscriptions with PLEX rather than $15 a month. Do you really think someone who needs their ISK to keep their accounts running is going to be just dumping ISK into Dust because they can?

I can understand why they do this. Right now I could hop on my EVE char and transfer a couple of hundred million plus I could do my trading on Jita and net a few hundred million more.
Of course, I thought that would be a primary feature to attract EVE players to DUST and to get DUST players to EVE paying subscriptions.
Oh well, never let it be said CCP ever missed an opportunity to lose out on revenue. I swear they doom themselves to second rate, little game company that could status all the time.
Sorry CCP. You missed another $20 from me for that BPO dropsuit.

They are already working towards this goal with the removal of BPOs. I guess next thing they have to do is to figure out what to do with the existing BPOs. Removal and refunding of the Aurum? CHanging the way BPOs work in Dust? Who knows! |
