Dropsuits where a class of suits that all had interia damps?
And there was a second class of suits lets call them hardsuits, that don't feature this object but something else...

Hard impact drop-suits.
They hit the ground with a thud, sending out a small kinetic blast that damages anything within a 2 meter radius. Heavier suits can deal heavyier, and wider damage, and are also able to damage vehicles if the person manages to land on one. The suits do not have any shields, but a ****-ton of armor. The suit is built sort of like a mech so that it actually enhances the users maneuverability with the armor, rather then hinder the user. However, they are still quite slow, and vulnerable in the open.
They also have a major bonus to melee damage due to the mechanized strength behind the suit.
There's your suit, feed me likes.

BTW, I like this idea.
Dropsuits could be like a paratrooper. Somewhat more lightly armed and armored, but much more mobile.
Hardsuits (Or whatever you desire them to be) Could be fairly more armored and shielded (10% more base HP?) while the min combat medium frame Hardsuit moving the speed if a Amarr Assault Dropsuit.
I would personally go for Hardsuits because I personally like the defensive stance of battle. More HP, but moving substantially slower is fine by me, but of course we would need for opinions then mine.

But really, I think that like his idea for dropsuits would be the ones able to fall from a DS or the MCC and not die, while Hardsuits are just going to splat.

Heh, I'm keeping my nose out of it. I am not a big fan of respecs, and while I think CCP should have given you guys a fair bit of warning, I think its a bit of overkill on the complaints over it.
Hell, Us Beta Testers got our accounts completely wiped. Did we sue?

its probably more to do with the fact that more and more people stopped taking him so damn seriously and just automatically assume everything he sais is a joke :P
