Jesus Christ people, WE DONT EVEN KNOW WHATS IN IT YET!
I love how everyone acts like they've been play testing 1.7 for weeks and know it inside and out.
So lets say they end up releasing all the racial suits in 1.8. Then what? Moar respects? A month later? I swear some people here have less patience than my 3 year old. You can QQ about how CCP does things all you want but they've actually been very consistent. When the skill tree gets reworked -> refund or respec. Simple.
Vehicle respec now, suit respec when they come out, weapon respec when a bunch of them come out. Chill!

Chill! how are we impatient? i've been waiting for this game to get fixed since november, and spent a very large amount of money in the process. its not a crime to want a game that you've committed so much time and money into to feel worth it.
People are impatient because they are so addicted to the idea of a respec that they threaten to leave the game if there isn't one rightnowdamnit even though this just might not be an optimal time to do it.
Just answer this question: if we assume for the sake of argument that 1.8 will have all the racial suits, what exactly would be the point of doing a full respec right now? No point, you say? You are correct.

I already worked for a Proto scout, why do i have to grind all over again to get the one i ACTUALLY wanted?
Yes, we should get ANOTHER respec...well you asked....
Then why do you need a respec now before the Amarr scout (p.s., totally want it too) even comes out? WTF do you need a respec twice in a months time? How does that even make sense?

I have just under 18 mil SP, lets say about 5 mil of that is in things I rarely use like Min logi, Cal logi, and Cal assault all to level 3, and heavy suits/HMG at level 1.
I'd get everything I do use to full proto with proto AR and ScR with prof 5 (currently prof 3 in AR and not yet to proto ScR) and finally max out my passive skills like engineering if I got a respec. It would benefit me greatly. Is that specific enough for you?
So:
1) I agree with the current plan for a vehicle tree respec/refund
2) I agree with a dropsuit tree respec/refund when the racial suits come out (lets hope for 1.8)
3) I'm on the fence about refunding AR/ScR SP because of the new rifles coming out in 1.7. There's a decent argument to be made either way. I lean towards leaving it alone, though.
4) If the majority of the rumored weapons and suits come out in a short period of time (say, by 1.8/1.9) I would support a full respec b/c that's a whole lot of change at once. All of the above are pretty consistent with what CCP has done in the past.
Otherwise, no. The potential for personal gain on my part does not trump CCP's vision for this game which was one of the things that drew me into it. I like that decisions matter.
