It seems like vehicles did get no adv or proto tiers. What we have seen is that we will get specialized vehicles branching out from the basic skill that unlock all basic variants.
Will CCP ever release adv or proto vehicles again? I hope not.

They were never out in the first place. vehicles have always been tiercided. |

I'm a pilot, and even I don't think that there should be proto vehicles.
Its just not necessary IMO. |

They are paving the path for adv, pro vehicles. Its clearly visible in the stats and I believe this because standard HAV operation unlocks all racial STANDARD tanks and you can individual ly skill up a racial skill tree to get the next tier vehicle of that race which will not be included in 1.7

It will be like training the skill 'madrugars' to level 5 for a ****** bonus and 5mil SP but no proto hull for the proto mods and turrets we get
We need adv/proto hulls because the skills be have do not increase mods slots or the PG/CPU or anything |

Which is a good thing. More slots = more diverse setups which is the thing that makes this game interesting and fun. I'm looking forward to adv and proto hulls, so long as it's a linear improvement for an exponential cost increase like in EVE. Think about the thrill of blowing up someone's 20 million ISK tank!

There is proto AV for a reason. To take out tanks of a higher tier. Otherwise there should be no swarms past standard.

Closed beta had Proto tanks. They got removed and were never seen or heard from since. They must be sleeping with the fishes.
