Does this imply we will eventually see proto vehicles, capable of fitting the PG reqs from complex vehicle mods?

just my two iskies.
Reason my asking is that current dropships (1.7) look to have far too PG/CPU to make any interesting fits with complex mods, and not enough fitting slots to do anything viable with E-war (scanners, MCRUs). Because the assault DS each have 2 less slots now.
But if the long term goal is to set vehicles up like dropsuits, where adv and proto vehicles have More Pg/CPU and more fitting slots available, then this would be understandable.
The only problem is how bloody much SP it costs to effectively max even a standard vehicle already. |

You can fit all pro modules on the incubus
Not all variations of all proto modules. Not that you should be able to but theres a lot of fittings that I feel should work and don't.
And the fact that Incubus how has only 1 high slot really removes it's ability to do a great many things. Combos of afterburter, extra shield, MCRU, turret mods, vehicle reps etc.
This might all be fine though if eventually Proto vehicles will have extra slots and fitting choices.
If the vehicles will mimic how dropsuits are setup where your options with Basic are few but there are a few options. Whereas you don't see real versatility in character building till higher level suits.
The things you can do with a Proto Logi vs a basic logic, fitting options WAY greater. If this is the paradigm then it is at least logical, but if not then vehicle fittings just suffered a huge loss and Dust is falls short on one of its biggest selling points about module choices. |
