3. The only BPOs being refunded are the ones for modules that aren't going to exist after 1.7 |

EULA will never override consumer LAW. CCP is a business and must comply with the nations laws they do business with. Bait and switch will always be seen as bait and switch in the eyes of the law. If they do not wish to be compliant i'm sure someone will eventually sue them into regretting their decision. |

As long as CCP doesn't do this too often (they really shouldn't be having to completely remove market items at this point tbh) then there should be no real problem of people exploiting it...

Indian Giver really isn't the right term in this case. Theoretically if the Devs removed our looted Officer Weapons and that free BPO DS prints some of us got then it would be appropriate.
Con Artist or Swindler would be closer if one feels the original deal was intentionally deceitful.
IWS brings up an interesting point about the guys who spent thousands of AUR on BPOs that costs tens of isk each. If this was clearly a play-to-win game then I'd be worried. If it means they can run expensive implants day in and out then their long delayed venture investment has paid off.

Why would I be pissed about someone getting more AUR back than they spent? It's not my money there. When CCP decides to steal my money though that is when I get mad. Which is basically what CCP is doing by saying that they will refund BPOs for AUR. I don't want the AUR I want the BPOs. If you take the BPOs I want the cash back, not AURUM. Hitle... err Hilmar is not going to swindle me out of cash just so he can wear $1000 designer tight pants. |

Yup, a complaint should be filed to Sony first and a refund would probably be granted. Also, Sony may be no saint but they are obligated to comply with consumer laws. The same thing would go with them. Though to be honest it would probably be more of a pain in the ass than it would be worth. Excepting for the one guy I was reading who spent a ******* $1,000 on this game. I don't know what someone like that is thinking, or perhaps they are loaded. Must be nice if that is the case. |

First you'd have to find out if EULA constitute legally binding agreements in your country. If they do, you have no grounds to ask for a refund whether its from Sony or CCP.
Also, all this fuss about 4 militia BPO's which you're getting a refund in the form of AUR... I don't normally like hashtags, but in this case, #firstworldproblems# seriously. |

I've heard glorious things about mines though sadly I started playing after their removal.
I hope that CCP one day brings them back, I've got ideas that involve bubbles and minefields that I am sure would have me laughing uncontrollable for hours if not days....

Lol, get over it. It is a saying. Indian is a valid reference to native Americans because there is no umbrella term for the various tribes before the modern day "Native American."
I for one reject political correctness. Indians are no more native to the Americas than I am. The word indian is not a pejorative in and of itself. This is especially valid when you look beyond the notion of white people being separate from indians. Most people from the east coast who have a long heritage are part indian. This is especially true (ironically) in the South. Both white and black people are descended from indians. My wife's ancestor is a prominent Creek indian chief. So, no; Indian is not a racist term unless you are using it as a putdown.
