How is the title of this thread not racist towards Native Americans? Regardless of the dubious nature of the title the OP has a somewhat of a fair point. CCP is treading shady ground and muddling the water between what is acceptable for a F2P game and shady business practices. |

EULA will never override consumer LAW. CCP is a business and must comply with the nations laws they do business with. Bait and switch will always be seen as bait and switch in the eyes of the law. If they do not wish to be compliant i'm sure someone will eventually sue them into regretting their decision. |

EDIT: OP if you feel that strongly about it consult with Sony for bait and switch business practices and ask for a full refund. You didn't make your purchase through CCP you made it through Sony. If it was racist against Native Americans then what about real Indians, like from India...
"Indian" was once used by the Europeans as an all-purpose adjective signifying "bogus" or "false," owing to the supposedly low morals of the "red man". Thus you had "Indian summer," false summer late in the year; "Indian corn" and "Indian tea," cheap substitutes for products the original colonists had known back in England; and "Indian giver," someone who gives you something and then takes it back. |

Yup, a complaint should be filed to Sony first and a refund would probably be granted. Also, Sony may be no saint but they are obligated to comply with consumer laws. The same thing would go with them. Though to be honest it would probably be more of a pain in the ass than it would be worth. Excepting for the one guy I was reading who spent a ******* $1,000 on this game. I don't know what someone like that is thinking, or perhaps they are loaded. Must be nice if that is the case. |
