They wouldn't be nerfed. I think I am the only one sitting here thinking the Logi needs a sub AR weapon type which emphasises Support over fire power.
I think I would actually respect Logi if they got this kind of new weapon type rebalancing that prevents plays from using them as better assault troops.

But you can ignore the bonuses and still get ridiculously good fits out of Logi's.... Logi's don't even have to play specialised roles.
We have no Engineer classes, we have no medic classes, we have not ECM classes, we have Super Assaults.

If assaults do more damage, and get bonuses to enhance their racial weapons, then I don't see how logis would be "Super Assaults". There would be no reason to use logis for assaulting if assaults are just plain better with a weapon. Example, would you rather use a laser or scrambler rifle with an Amarr logi? or Amarr assault? Logis would still have less speed, less stamina, less base shields (meaning depending on how you use the extra low slot, they may have less HP than assaults), and less shield recharge. Also having no sidearm is a pretty big deal if you're using a weapon like the plasma cannon, swarm launcher, laser rifle, or sniper rifle. The only benefit a logi would have is PG/CPU, and that extra low slot. Everything else would be better on assault suits when assaulting.
All I ever wished this game would do is entice players to make and create specific and unique dropsuits and battlefield roles.....all this game thus far has done is produce FoTM after FoTM with no room for variation, why not restrict certain things?
