This is a great idea. They can also give you the ability to remove your weapon to further free up PG and CPU, making you completely invisible. Then, you can run around nude punching enemies in the jaw 10 times to kill them.

And the cloaking device is something I have no hopes for.
Don't worry. This will be CCPs response a year from now when cloaks still don't exist.
CCP Tech Dude wrote: Well, we tried to implement cloaking, once. After a grueling 30 minutes we gave up. You see, the PS3 cannot handle cloaking. We can't just make Scouts invisible and not render them, as this would make the Scout suit OP. However, if we make them translucent, we have to combine the colors of the player model and the background in our pixel shaders, and this is just too much for the PS3 to handle. We theorize that adding cloaking would bring the FPS down to 1 frame a second, from the 3 frames per second we have now, and this is not acceptable performance.

Thank you. In that case, to the person I had quoted, it was a hyperbolic joke. It was not meant to represent my thoughts on the matter. If you give up health and damage to be invisible to sensors, maybe you could give up your weapon and literally be invisible.

Just as an added bonus for when you have a bit of fitting room to spare, but not extra slots to fit equipment/modules
Logistics with no equipment would love this.
