Right now maps are a mix up of both infantry and vehicle. This promotes cheesy gameplay rather than actual skill. Having infantry only maps would allow the infantry folks to run and gun and be merry whilst having Vehicle specific maps/game modes would allow AV and Vehicles to duke it out. Supply depots are home point promotes camping. Removing them would help focus more on Logi roles and bring out the snipers into the open.
4. Logi specific equipment
Logi's should be the only one carrying nanohives, nanite injectors, droplinks and reppers. This will make people play this role more.
5. Logi specific weapons
Since the Logi will be doing a lot support people, their weapons should be limited to sidearms only.
2. "cheesy gameplay"? Vehicle piloting is extremely financially risky, takes a lot of skill, and requires one to manage and time module use properly. Vehicles is just as valid a playstyle as infantry, and to push them out and segregate them to just a few specific battles is pretty unfair. Despite the presence of vehicles in Dust, most engagements tend to be infantry vs infantry, so infantry already have a place to "run and gun and be merry".
3. People come at supply depots at there own risk, and frankly I have never found supply depot camping to be a problem in Dust. Even if it is camped, I like this sort of watering hole type stuff.
4. The support class gets an AR, and and a damn HMG in KZ:SF, AND get sidearms. None of this "sidarms only" BS cannot be supported by citing KZ:SF. Logis can't do the job of supporting their teammates if they can't hold their own long enough to survive because they're stuck with a low range sidearm.
5. Logis don't need logi specific equipment, the point of the logi is quantity of equipment, not unique equipment.
For both 4 and 5 you're singling out the logi for weapon and equipment changes while using KZ:SF as your guide, but why are you singling out the logi when EVERY class in KZ:SF has unique weapons and equipment, and not just the support class. Why don't you also suggest "scout specific weapons and equipment", "commando specific weapons and equipment", or "assault specific weapons and equipment", etc?
Logi-bias aside, the whole point of Dust's fitting system is to NOT be tied down to specific weapons and equipment, and to create whatever you want within the confines of your suit's slots and PG/CPU. I like this freedom, I don't want it gone.

See this is why I love the logic in Dust forums. This numnut cant get the better of me verbally and he accuses me of being a COD fanboi when the topic itself compares DUST 514 with KZSF (Killzone Shadowfall). Sure thing Dorskter514! CCP in trying to please the masses has got the roles confused. They nerfed the Cal Logi;- but has that stopped people from using it. Till I stopped playing Dust I was trolling with my Militia heavy with a single damage mod and laser rifle. Try that out and see how OP that **** is.
As long as these combinations are available you will always have a FOTM.
If you want roles to be enforced, the key is changing the bonuses (detailed proposal), not making suits restrictively boring.
Assaults should have bonuses to their respective racial weapons. The Amarr assault already does that, and its awesome. Once TTK is fixed, the general assault bonus should be 1% damage per level for light weapons to make them better at assaulting than logis, the shield recharge bonus is useless for Gallente assault. Logis should have bonuses to equipment to promote the role of assaulting. Neither the assaults or logis should have armor/shield bonuses, HP/regen bonuses belong on sentinels.
Claiming laser rifle + anything is OP is hard to take seriously.
Also, Amarr logis are painfully slow, and has low stamina; I have prototype Amarr logi, but I actually prefer using the assault for the speed, stamina, laser bonus (great for semi-auto scrambler rifle), and though it has 1 less low slot, it has 60 more base shields (almost a complex shield extender).
I do like the idea of assaults having no equipment slots, and scouts having 2. Would help differentiate scouts and assaults from their basic frame counterparts.
