With 1.7, certain vehicle module BPOs are being removed and refunded with the AUR purchase price. So given the choice, would you turn in your other BPOs if given an AUR refund?
For my modules that are just BPO copies of militia gear, I'd exchange them in a heartbeat and get boosters. But I'd never part with my LAV BPOs, suit BPOs, or standard weapon BPOs. |

Never have they had a Methana BPO LAV but they sure had 6 BPO Caldari LAVs.

I'm very curious about how they intend to handle the potential market effects of those whom invested when BPO's were dirt cheap and have hundreds that will be reimbursed.
As for the OP's question - I would like to hang on to all my BPO's. |

By "AUR purchase price" I hope they mean most recent purchase price and not what we originally paid for them.

Um, sure. If they refund all BPOs at the current rates like they're doing for 1.7, I stand to make thousands of dollars work of AUR. (I got mine when they were 30 AUR a pop.)
Which is why I don't think CCP isn't going to do it in general... I'm actually really surprised they're doing refunding to this degree in 1.7.

Oh right, totally forgot that some vets got them super cheap.
If they did this then they'd probably just refund back what you paid for them.
I'm guessing the vehicle modules they are refunding have always been available for 4800 AUR (could be mistaken though). |

yes all of it other than my special beta and merc pack stuff.
But everything bought in the store like my compltete AUR set 5 bps of everything back when they oly cost 50 aur each for a bpo.
I'd rather get a refund and have BPOs be rare and only given out in limited number and always as cool coolored but low level gear. Or just start selling paint buckets you said you were almost done with that feature at one point... |

They already announced the price return for the BPO Modules: 4800 AUR Militia 180mm Reinforced Steel Plates Blueprint 4800 AUR Militia Shield Regenerator Blueprint 4800 AUR Militia Shield Resistance Amplifier 4800 AUR Militia Power Diagnostic System Blueprint
So yeah, the vets that payed 40-60 AUR per module are going to make like 8-10 bucks worth of AUR, not bad.

There are some players out there who stocked up on over a hundred of these BPOs back in closed beta when they use to cost only 50-100 AUR a piece. If they are refunded at the current price of say 2,000 AUR a piece, then a few players stand to gain over 10 million AUR profit without any more cash given to CCP.
CCP might as well cut their own veins if they offer refunds for all of the BPO (not just for the ones they're talking for vehicles).
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

I have an entire set of BPO's from pre-uprising. Which have cost me RL $. I would hate to see them go. They serve their purpose even when rarely used. To test different things effectiveness is really why I use them, and to save money on crap pub matches when I'm grinding ISK. To replace them with Arum would be somewhat frustrating. But I don't think I'd mind too much. I'd just buy passive boosters and be done with it.

I think they should allow us to build stuff from BPOs when market opens up. it'd be a nice lil earner for some of us and help new players out by corps supplying cheap/free suits to help them get started |

Yeah, I can't ever see CCP refunding more AUR than someone legitimately bought from them to begin with.
For people with multiple BPOs of the same item, maybe they'd just refund one copy at the current AUR price, and leave the other BPOs intact. If they did so, BPOs probably wouldn't be tradeable either. But it's all just speculation. |

How is getting back exactly what you paid a slap in the face for vets? As someone who didn't get in on the stupid cheap beta BPOs, I think it's ridiculous that vets stand to make hundreds of thousands of AUR out of thin air just because they bought 100 BPOs back in the day. |

Vehicle module bpo's I guess. But the vehicles I bought through packs, and the infantry weapons? Not a chance in hell.
I bought the vet pack strictly for the blood raider lav. If I lost that, then I would want a good portion of my money back. |

Either price is fine, so long as it is across the board. So it goes back to deciding who gets the slap in the face.

Again, why is it a slap in the face to get back what you originally paid for something? If a vet paid 40 AUR for a BPO during closed beta and a new player paid 4800 AUR for a BPO, why should the vet get 4800 AUR or the new player only 40 AUR? Why don't they just get back what they paid for them?

Why don't they just get back what they paid for them? Were you here when CCP liquidated all of our assets? If you were, do you remember how that went to hell in a handbasket? I can see that happening only with AUR if they try to utilize multiple values.
Granted, that is a worst case scenario, though I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it happened. What if people get over-refunded and blow it all on boosters that they immediately plug in?
Can you understand why I vehemently feel that it needs to be one value? Honestly, using one value, it won't matter which one they use, they'll be slapping the newbs in the face. If they go with beta prices, the newbs get robbed, if they go with the recent prices, the vets become stupid rich with AUR.
IMHO, a PSN store credit is starting to sound a lot better the more I think about it.
