Guys,
The vehicle locking you added to 1.7 is HORRIBLE. Now you can not quickly deploy into a dropship for PC.
"As it stands today, no-one other than the vehicle owner can get into a vehicle for 5 seconds after delivery and no-one other than the vehicle owner and his squad can get into a vehicle for 15 seconds after delivery."
Why not have 2 icons in the vehicle module selection wheel, 1 to lock for just you and 1 to lock for just squad members (default). Two simple icons you can select would solve this issue. I'm sure there are other ways like making one of the buttons cycle through the 3 locking states. However you do it the solution you added is depressing. It doesn't solve any issues with hoping out for a second and someone else jumping in and it impedes quick deployment!
IMO this should be a top priority to implement a proper solution and I don't even drive many vehicles! |

I knew it would raise problems however you can only be patient and hope it'll come in 1.8 this system is improved considering blueberrys can't rush in to your vehicle and actually gives your squad mates some time to get in first. However it's obviously not there on terms of just having a simple lock out team feature.

I forgot to mention you can remove turrets now which removes the passenger seat all though it's a bit weird because this doesn't help Dropship pilots or LAVS because there are still empty passenger seats that can't be removed.

This should be top priority. Add an option like he said, to the radial menu. Very similar to calling an order. have it LOCKED or UNLOCKED. VERY SIMPLE. Initially the vehicle can be also LOCKED or UNLOCKED for the pilot. It's so simple it's obvious. Why couldn't you guys figure this one out.

The only thing this will change is that dropships are now particular to squads. In a PC setting chances are very high this has already been established.

You don't understand the Main problem. The problem is sometimes (3/4 of time in fact...) you call an vehicules and while you're trying to get in with your 5 meters pers second somebody steal your car before you entered it. |

For the time being I would suggest using a CRU and pre-designate who waits and spawns in on lift off. Then rushing back to the red line post drop off and swap to your assault dropship if you wish to continue flying. That way you don't rist getting your best ship forged right of the bat, and this operation is actually quicker than waiting for everyone to scurry to your dropship to hop in as well. Just a thought. |

personaly I'll take anything that hinders thieves....I would like to say a lock option on the command wheel as I suggested back in may (maybe june) but this is better than nothing

This is still an improvement.
All you have to do is make sure everyone who wants to jump in the DS off the bat is in the pilots squad. -1 seat however. Unfortunately this will be a slight inconvenience mid game when all the squads are mixed up and someone calls a DS.
This will be a huge help in pub matches particularly.
I'm still waiting for the PASSENGER BOOT option!

As far as "Messing with PC"
What, you need to wait an extra 15 seconds to get your whole team on a roof?
I realize that PC is largely about who can get a foothold and spam uplinks around the objectives first, but I don't see this as really stopping it. Any serious PC corp is going to be calling in more than one dropship anyways, usually 2 squads and 2 derpships, and have the other tards in speedy uplink/hacking suits in LAV or running.
I don't see PC being ruined from this.

Actually the real problem is people jacking your ride regardless of when it occurs. I hate bringing in LAVs and jumping out to hack and off goes the blueberry in your ride.
A better half assed fix would have been to lock vehicles to squads since you choose who you squad with. I'm tired of bad fixes for key items like this. Now they will be like, ohh that's fixed we can get back to it in 6 months! A fix should never introduce new problems.

The only thing being added pertains to people not in his squad being set back by 15s.
Honestly IMO this should have been top of their list for vehicles and they had two more builds to sort it out. I don't really use vehicles much and this ticks me off, imagine the poor bastards who use vehicles all the time. I have heard so many people complain about this and kicking others from their vehicles that I just don't understand this not being a key feature added to improve vehicles. |

I said this before we need permissions a simple sub menu so players can opt, either unlocked to all blue/allies or unlocked to squad only or complete lock out so only the owner can drive but still bein hackable to enemies/reds, tho i don't care about ppl bein in passanger seat or gunner seat, I think driver should get priority over all seats in vehicle aswell. |

just adding tht the 5 sec lock should remain no matter what. hopefully they will resolve this problem and will definitely make the game less frustrating. cant wait for 1.7 tho like having a present waiting to be opened |

I am well aware that you said this is a temporary solution. I am saying that IMO sometime in the future is unacceptable as this is a CORE issue that drives a ton of us nuts! Try playing some and constantly having your ride jacked or blueberries that will not get for ANY reason EVER. Feel our pain and fix some of these items that drive us nuts every single day for the last year.
Quick aside, how's that mic bug fix coming? Fix that and I will be a happy man!

My complaint is the fact that this is not being prioritized as it should be. The change they made is pretty useless IMO.
Edit: I'd almost rather they did nothing so that it was still on their priority list rather then them now thinking they can leave it for god knows how much longer.
Please fix the mic bubble bug...
