He isn't crying that Heavies shouldn't be able to get into LAVs, that would be absurd. He is upset over the instatanious in/out crap that we've had to put up with since the game came out. They need to have animations for getting in and out of all vehicles to fix this situation. It might even fix Dropship suicides if people leaving it are shown getting out instead of appearing within the ship and being 'crushed.'

At least all of those 'tactics' use pieces of the game that function properly. Teleporting into and out of LAVs is just stupid and should go the way of the dodo. It isn't a tactic, it's an exploit plain and simple. I can't count the number of times I've almost killed someone who pulled that crap, then they just insta-tele back into their jeep and fly off into the horizon. Can't kill the Charybdis, and can't kill him tanks to the self-targeted vehicle-mounted shield transporter, s it's practically godmode. If he had to go through an embark/disembark animation, leaving him open to attack then I would have no issue. Even HALO has these for the love of whatever deity you hold dear.

Teleporting into and out of LAVs is just stupid Well, seeing as our droplinks uses teleportation instead of literally dropping in from the skies VIA Section 8/DUST's MCC mechanics, I viewed it as literal teleportation especially with our "switch seats" mechanic being so hilarious. I'm of the opinion that we do literally teleport due to the switch-seat mechanic, but if it is supposed to represent us mechanically/physically entering/exiting vehicles then sure it is stupid.
I much prefer the second idea, as the uplinks themselves say that teleportation is an extremely painful and experimental technology that causes immense, irreparable damage to anything going through. Using that for something as simple as changing seats in a car seems like a huge misappropriation of tech. I also always though the dlinks would be better as a drop point to show off that fancy Inertial Dampener feature as well as keep teleporting out of the world of New Eden, but c'est la vie.

You say that now, but it's only a matter of time until the GalLogis start using this with shotguns. We'll see who's crying foul then about egress animations.
