Instead of the missile or w/e flying out of the side of the screen and shooting off in some random direction when I fire from a moving vehicle I just wish it would fly straight at my target like they do when the vehicle is stationary, the slightest movement of a tank and the small turrets are completely useless, I suggest a team of Devs try driving a few tanks and see how many kills they get in the gunners seats and compare the difference when the tank makes the slightest move to when it is stationary. Patch notes on 1.6 say "applied fixes to vehicle Turrets" but I still can't see it yet myself. |

I'm fairly certain they do shoot where you are aiming at, in a straight line. By the time they hit, your reticle is what moved.
If that's not the case, then I don't know what is.

I hit what I'm aiming at when the vehicle is moving with NO problem . Think about the distance the vehicle is moving in and from coupled with the speed as well as the angle or trajectory . If it's moving , you have to compensate for it's movement .
It's unreal to ask for it to shoot at something as if it were in a straight line and your are moving at an angle or moving in general . Movement of an object can be explained by Newton's law and vector principles and this can explain the parabolic motion of a projectile ... basically when you are moving there must be some compensation applied instead of when you are still and staying stagnant , which would allow you to aim in a straight line because there is no reason for compensation .
Keep at it and you will get it .

Message from Godin: I have perfect aim (I play not just Dust, I play Arma and BF games as well as several others that has door and back gunners, as well as tank gunners), and can aim just fine in those. But when I come to dust, if the craft is moving, weather if I aim straight at them, or compensate, it for the most part misses. Sometimes, it goes way off (I'm talking a clear miss when it should have got at least near them.). Rails suffer this the most. |

I can agree with the rail guns having that problem as I have written a thread about that as well . So there must be a problem with hit detection then . If I'm on a planted turret I do fine . I can actually snipe people but when I'm in my tank and use my Railguns then I notice the problem so I don't know where it can be .

Bug.
When you fire a missile the missile continues to move in the direction the vehicle is moving (I.e. Your shooting perpindicular to your dropship, the missile both heads out perpindicular to the DS, but also copying the DSs movement. If the ship moves, the projectile moves. If the ship stops moving, the projectile stops moving on that axis)
It was first reported like 1.3.

Try shooting from a tank that is just moving a tiny bit or just shuffling back & forth a little, even just the slightest movement makes the missiles seem to shoot out of the side of the screen and go off in random directions |

There's something off with the turrets. Sometimes they are accurate, sometimes not. |

i might add tht they have made it so u cant run ppl down in your Lav,s, which is fair if thts what they wanted to do (i personally hated when they did tht as im pretty rubbish at shooting lol) but they have made them sluggish to drive they move like a car stuck in the mud and handle like a shopping trolly, they used to be fun to drive think they should make them as agile as they once were even if u cant run ppl down, ( altho id rather u could squash ppl, then just add a module to your dropsuit tht badly damages said vehicles ) Lavs have become a pointless |
