Was under the impression that most people who play pc already thought this was the main reason behind the lag.

The problem is though.
The match he is playing in, isn't half as laggy as some of the PC matches I've been in, so it has to be something else other than equipment spam.
Thanks for the hotfix CCP, Light Frames having 20m scan was so OP!

I don't doubt it, I have been in a fair amount of PC battles and noticed numerous amounts of problems:
1.) Regions
2.) Equipment Spam
3.) Explosions
4.) Possibly linking with EVE players?
5.) Vehicles |

This has been cited before which is why it has been suggested more than once that CCP limit equipment as they do already for vehicles to cut down on lag. Unfortunately, I've yet to see CCP actually acknowledge posts such as these. |

Lag is been a issue for far to long. We need a server dedicated solely to Dust not Dust and EVE. It drives me crazy for I will be firing at someone and they are taking no damage, only to find out I have been shooting at a wall due to lag. Another Lag experience was I walked thru a wall and ended up on the other side of the map. My wife watched me fall thru the ground and free fall until I took my own clones life. CCP for your info it is all maps and it happens more than it should. I know its not my internet connection for I have upgraded to the highest capability in my area and now have had three individuals test my connection. One was the provider and the other 2 were independent contractors from other companies. I am at 100% and can stream multiple things and have no problem, play one game of dust and I am bunny hopping all over the screen and watching other players disappear and reappear at random. CCP this is a game breaker and always will be, debug your program.

yep, I dom't think its just equipment aswell.
Ive been in pubmatches with more equip spam than in pc and the game runs perfectly fine.
on pc sometimes just neing in the game causes horrible lag.
I've heard tuning down the solution of the ps3 and the texture and effects setting in the game help, aswell as solo-joining should help.
but i can't necessary confirm this.
I tried all of it with frustrating results.
My gf always joins in squads and all r settings are on high and she never really suffers from lag.
we both have the 60gb fat ps 3and the same internet connection.
it's just plane fristrating when you try to defend your districts against some of the best players in this game and you empty a whole clip of your smg in an enemy who is down to ~10 armour doing absolutely NO damage at all.
Pc-lag just appears random to me, theres nothing where I could say this is the problem, which is even more frustrating fpr me than having something to blame it on.
another one bites the Dust...
