In a game dominated by a weapon that was created with the technology of a blaster (which is SHORT RANGED) from a faction that specializes IN these blasters and drones despite this weapon applying near full damage at 70+, where people are running around with grenades that have the blast radius of a miniature nuke that one-hits 95% of the suits out there, where people spam the device that goes through walls with no consequence while they can see everything just by spinning around in a circle with it, where the idea that's it's okay to pick on the weak and unprepared, where it's okay to travel in packs of twelve against completely unorganized teams, where it's just dandy for people to sit on top of towers, where it's terrific to have the health of over 800+, where the TTK is as short (if not shorter) than Battlefield...
You find that someone using an anti-material cannon that is a modified mining tool to shoot you up close as a "problem"? I do it all the ******* time to the snippity people that believe that because they have a drop on me that I'll panic and roll over to accept death. This is New Eden. Eat my Forge Gun.

I had some jackass message me something similar when I kept charging him head on with a HMG and won every fight except for the first one. Why? Because I took notes on how he moved the first time and he was so predictable afterwards I thought I had dozed off during battle again and was dreaming (this has happened twice before- learned my lesson not to play at those times Q_Q). Didn't matter that he was charging me with a shotgun- it was over. I had him known.
You probably ran into one of the older heavies that has been doing it for a while. Shame to hear a heavy in the redline, but if he was able to track you up close then there's a chance that he does it often. The charge time for the Forge Guns outside of the Breach variants is also not bad. With max operation, it takes roughly two to three shotgun shots for it to charge up. If it was a prototype assault, then **** the wait. That's a sneeze charge (which I hate). My advanced heavy hit at the 1400 mark for HP without going prototype, so he was more than likely beefy. The only times I've fallen to a shotgun in hat getup was from some sneaky little **** with the shotgun (props to these gentlemen that get passed me) and stayed firmly in my blindspot. I never get angry when people manage to do this. It means they are experienced in dealing with heavies. They've done it for a while.
People like me, well, we specialize in target leading and tracking. It's why I'm so fond of the Forge Gun and Plasma Cannon. Those two weapons demand being able to track. Though, I'm not going to say I'm the best or I'm excellent at it. I have T-Rex vision. If you stand still, the chances of me not seeing you is extremely high, especially when you're dampened. However, if you move, your ass is grass. I don't always hit, though I do take pride in it.

You mean already did.
