And nothing I said implies you guys should stop trying or die off. Corps wanting to help others are great - but do you really need PC districts to do so?

Fire of Prometheus wrote:We decided to opt out of PC due to some political bull$#!+ from another corp.
As many of you are aware, we do meta 2 PC matches and "all out" PC matches wich have a no limits rule.
As many of you also know, we are a training corp, not many people other than our fine staff have the ability to field proto gear/modules and weapons etc. this results in the no limits matches being mostly a proto stomp by the other team (unless it was decided otherwise that adv & below was the thresh-hold).
We informed our "students"/members that we are abandoning PC for the time being. Many of our members were outraged at this and as a result, we had a frenzy of people join in our last match.......wich I got dced from (stupid internet). We still hold training events and Q-syncs so our members aren't completely in the dark. As far as I'm concerned FW is a suitable replacement for PC.
We will not stop training with other corps and as such if you wish to set up a training match on your corps own turf (not to mention the fact we don't have any turf anymore) simply mail one of our directors.
But that's just my side of the story. Smart for doing PC on other corp's planets..But remember when Eve-Uni was started. In the beginnign they did not have high teir stuff.
As far as unlimited training. Honestly it isn't so much you guys lack gear. Many people do have proto. It is just that you all run the same thing. We had an entire squad of dedicated logis...
And the fact that the only person allowed to use a mass driver goes 2/17 |

Yea you were also named. And I said you was cool.
The only negative things I said about anyone was Truexeroz and that was more for ***** and giggles. I said he needed to work on trash talking skills lol. And I suggested that Reevira not talk like a MOM.
The other was Nadeus... (And honestly he was talking to others like that. It was an observation).
As for you dude. I said Good stuff (yea I did squad with you and twice in training I believe)...soooooo...... yea. No need to attack me. And overall what I said about the UNI was GOOD.

Clear now? yes clear.... what isn't clear is your previous post saying I was an @$$... try to understand that the few senior staff we have do put a lot of work into this corp plus juggle real lives and they do take it seriously but not to the point of forgetting its a game. they spend hours putting things together for almost complete strangers in an effort to make their game more enjoyable. they do this voluntarily, and more than most of the time without acknowledgement. I define this as passion and I have great respect for them. you know this whole training corp thing is something we create out of thin air. theres no game mechanics that support what we do. it exists only because the people behind the uni made it exsist. we have a long way to go and much to learn and we struggle through this endeavor in a game that has not yet itself found its footing. we ask nothing of any player except not to waste our time or bring conflict to our corp. its very easy to judge other people from the sidelines...
I don't I ever called you as @s$....sorry if I did, these forums can get confusing.
As for staff, like I said most the staff was cool dude.
One example I was talking about: I ask to go into ONE game of ambush. Got no reply, I shrugged it off (I really didn't care). Another person in squad said, "Hey some guy (meaning me) just asked for an ambush" The squad leader who is also a staff member (and keep in mind this is a PUB so no need to flip) says, I HEARD IT THE FIRST TIME DUDE... (In a really b**** voice).
That is one example. Me, didn't care. The other guy was really put off but he kept quiet cuz he was new.
Also on another issue sometimes I was shut down with the threat that they were STAFF and I wasn't (even though I was invited to be part of the edu dept). This particular staff took being a staff member as if he was an ACTUALLY dean of a UNI and quoted "Policy". I was like w/e
FOR EXAMPLE
I asked if a PC was meta lvl 2 or an unlimited training. Because I did not want to do meta lvl 2 and if it was unlimited would change my schedule around to participate. I explained to him that I had real life things that I would compromise with before hand if it was an unlimited match. Staff quoted policy - that they cannot announce type of match until it is 1 hr b4 start. I asked if there was somewhere I can address this policy andto whom. I was told all these policies have been discussed.
Now I understand there is an obvious reason to have w/e policy. But I did not want to discuss it with him. I wished to discuss it with people who made such policies. And THEN if they chose to keep the same policy. THen power to them, they obviously know OTHER sides of the administrating business (which I don't). But I just wanted to bring it to their attention (just in case it wasn't). I did not want to ***** about the policy, because, and anyone whose held a job before knows this, administration takes many things into account. But this dude just went on a power trip...sooo...yea...
I decided not to play that match anyways. And someone in SPEC OPS (battuff- cool guy) told me that it was meta lvl 2 privately. |

ANYONE GETS IN! when they prove themselves to be a jerk they get gone.... this is some really petty stuff that no corp of 900 + sometimes close to 2000 members corp can avoid.... I almost never say this, and certainly not seriously... but seriously... HTFU....
Are you telling me to HTFU over criticism I've given towards, not you, but your corpsmate. And keep in mind it was criticism NOT a reason I left I left because I wanted to do other stuff.
Again OVERALL the D-uni is a great place and a good place to train. SOME staff let being a "staff" go to their head and I think that is in ALL corps of ALL games. They compensate for short comings in RL. And NO clan/corp/guild can control that in any game if they are really big (in ANY GAME).
Sooooo please chill out.
And my review said D-Uni was a GOOD place. The only thing/person that got negative things said about them was Nadeus. (I joked about truexeroz) and everyone else from thaiceman to people I cannot remember got good reviews.
so....yea dude... I think you're just projecting with the HTFU. But I'll let it go because this thread was made to troll you (by learning corp) and the way you're acting, you got trolled. So HTFU against trolls dude.

As to the review that was posted and spoken of here, it was generally favourable to the UNI, that much is true, but there was reference to a member of D-UNI being referenced as to a female dog which I found rather distasteful so I reported the post. Call me old fashioned in that regard if you want but I'm not going to apologise for it.

You can't remember because you're trying to lie to save your own ass. I know all four people you've called out in your thread, myself being one. We're all grown ups here, and we can all deal with negativity. But what you said in your post about these four members was utterly wrong and pretty offensive. You know nothing about Dust University, you were only in the corporation for little under a week, and your review was nothing more than a half assed attempt at meta-gaming with the only goal to deface members of this community. For what reason? You, for one minute happened to have a bad interaction in a video game? Hilarious, absolutely hilarious. If you can't handle someone coping an attitude with you - or others - because you or they couldn't follow simple directions in a highly competitive match. Do yourself a favor and stop playing the game, or grow up. Just because you saw a negative side of someone, doesn't instantly mean that they're always like that, nor is it grounds for thinking (and posting on a public forum) that they have a mental illness or are taking real life anger out on a video game. Oh, and fun little fact, buddy. I deal with criticism on a daily basis, it's part of my hobby. Yours, however, is the type of criticism that's hilarious to read and means nothing because it lacks a constructive edge.
Your hobby is taking criticism??
And why would I lie about to "save my ass". What would I need to "save my ass" in a video game for?
All in all D-Uni is a good place.
I criticized and it is your hobby to take it. :) Why not take the criticism and improve since after all you guys are the care bear corp. There is still room for improvement and I am sure at the end of the Day D-uni will become a great corp that will have a dedicated staff that can defend planets and no one will be able to touch it and everyone will respect their territory.

Same thing here. And in the end I still talk to ZionTCD and have helped them in PC. They run things differently then you do - that's fine, that's why others turn to you. But to cause conflict over ideals on how things should get done just takes steps backwards for both groups. Some people want to feel a part of something while learning for the experience - others want the freedom to just ask for advice. There's nothing wrong with either approach.
YEa but there are people's ego. Then there is loyalty. Everyone is different.
They both good groups honestly. I just squaded with bojo school of trade guys. Excellent people.
But in Learning coalition you do have trolls. (evidence of this thread). And in D-Uni you got people who let being "staff at a university" go to their head.
You have both sets of people in all guilds/corps/clans in all games. Overall both are highly effective.

Learning Coalition is meant to help the community and players, right? So why build conflict with a like-minded group? Dust University had finally moved back into PC during the FEC vs EoN war, negotiating with both sides to have Hrober V as a neutral planet, of which I was part of the negotiations. The Learning Coalition had yet to actually launch what would be their first series of their forum based attacks. When Dust University announced it's public lecture on meta-gaming, the first shots were fired, though covertly with the addition of a fourth member in their little gang, a corporation hopper known as Dachande Anasazi. Who came into Dust University looking to assist the corporation, only to leave after an incident. In the end he publicly posted a now deleted thread in which he personally attacked specific members of the leadership. .
May wanna takeoff that detective hat. Fox reached out to me AFTER I wrote the review. I only knew about Bojo (and learning coalition by extension but never met fox) and I recommended D-uni join with them.
My only concern was writing reviews to help new comers choose which type of organization they wished to join.
A) D-Uni = Dictatorship but highly organized. Some people have ego problems that go unchecked (YOU) B) Learning coalition = so far I gather they are decentralized disorganized. Full of people who are laid back to game with but do troll others (evidence of this thread - CHAR)
I just recently rolled with bojo. I haven't written anything because Learning coalition works in a very limited time zone.
Again if I was out to "destroy" D-Uni I would have said it sucked. I reviewed it said ti was good but let peopleknow the personalities involved. So people can decide do they want to roll with personalities like YOU (Nadues) or Char. Now Yes I prefer Char's personality and Other's in Mango. Others may prefer yours.
No ill intentions from my part. And I apologized earlier this thread for the language. (After kevall post)
At the end of the day, just like how boxers choose coaches, or gyms that is how n00bs will choose the tutorial corps. I was only trying to help n00bs. (Are they personality type A and won't liek dictatorship and like decentralization or are they personality type B and like the structure d-uni provides)
(I will write my review on learning coalition after I make time to signon during their timezone)
And as far as D-Uni being a dictatorship, THAT IS HOW YOU GUYS LIKE IT!!
So please stop being a damn lil punk. I really don't care if it fails or succeeds. Heck I said it will succeed. I just want different people to know their options. Which is fair enough.
