i mean its not like a totally unique feature for a FREE TO PLAY GAME! you think i picked this game up because i thought to myself i'd sure like to play a new sci-fi FPS.. maybe a little but it was actually because it had move compatability but now i find i cant do **** with the move.. its dispicable.. how are you gonna expand a target market without developing anything new?
get real kid.. the move is a key selling point in breaching into other video game markets.. get ur head out of us ass.. if ur not concerned about it then dont come here to post
when you get a move come back and talk to me about the subject *******. |

i have the move with the sharpshooter attachment.
i get it, your mad, i can tell because of all the caps.
but as someone who owns and uses all the hardware, the game has so many other glaring gamebreaking issues (like the fact they cant get controller and mouse controls to work properly?) that the playstation move is literally the last thing that matters right now. |

I have been considering purchasing a playstation Move, and it's "nunchuck", just for Dust 514. I've been using the dualshock ps3 controller since I started during open beta. From what I understand, the ps move is very acurate - in games built to support it. Now, we all understand that a a mouse is more precise than a dualshock thumbstick (this is obvious; plz don't make yourself look like a liar), and I could easily start playing with a mouse 2mor0. But I won't. Dust is something I play to unwind - I don't want to be leaning over a desk wearing out my carpals. I just want to have fun with an interteresting FPS, all relaxed on my sofa or in my bed. SO... move users, let me know - is the move a worthwhile control option for Dust 514? |

imho the move/sharpshooter is one of the most exciting features in FPS today.. i love the sci-fi setting and i love the massive battlefields and i love the crazy customization but without the move its just the same as any other tactical-fps ****... it's not even up to sony's move standard that they've streamlined with the killzone franchinse.
the fact that the camera has depth perception issues in detecting the move isn't as big of a deal for most games as it might seem at first.. as long as u have enough space in your game-room to stand about 6feet away (give or take) the move will register with the camera just fine and it does make for extremely accurate aiming..
the biggest challange is forge sniping imo.. every other weapon i've had little issues adjusting for recoil or such.. just remember if u use the move being a squad leader isn't really much of an option.. (this is really the biggest issue to me, i'm expected to run squads for my corp around the clock so i find myself playing with the dualshock instead unfortunately..
it's kind of a learning curve to get use to but well worth it as "twitch" sniping can be done with the flick of a wrist although if ur playing with the sharpshooter attatchment i recommend u remove the shoulder stock as it can make it harder to hip fire when in a seated position and add extra weight.
please ghost, im not upset at you, i'm upset that as a PSN exclusive game, the move has been really underutilized in this game, one of the unique feature of playstation that makes a TEEN game more appealing not only to the younger crowd but move enthusiasts all together. again i'd like to say that dust caught my eye not cause it was free to play but because it was MOVE compatapable (in other words I DO CARE and it is MY TOP PRIORITY) if they want this game ready for release you're right there will need to be many changes and hopefuly improvements but that doesnt mean that the move doesnt actually matter to people as a mechanic they look for in buying or playing games... and i think you're really underestimating that part of the consumer market.. trust me.. if BF3/4 had move compatability they would own the entire FPS/strategy game market. i mean ****.. the new playstation eye is out with the new ps4.. i'm not sure if its backwards compatable with the ps3 games but **** that only goes to show you that the tech is becoming more precise and more accurate and it leads me to believe its again being extremely under utilized.
to be honest, goldeneye reloaded had a truly amazing move/sharpshoooter config system, if u wanna know what i mean u should play it becuase it's super smooth gameplay using the move.. although they had a (time crisis style) pop-up ADS mechanic that made fire fights way more intense and white-knuckle.
please, im not sure if anybody else has made a MOVE/SHARPSHOOTER channel in dust/eve but please add me to ur contacts and send me a message, i would love to start one with you guys if one isnt already around.. i'll start another thread in the warroom or something to promote it.. please show your support and maybe we can start a move army amungst the merc ranks that might yield some action from CCP to improve its function... |

word of advice is use ur militia gear when you start learning how to use it.. there is a learning curve for most people but if you've ever played duck hunt or any arcade game with a lazer-gun like area 51 or time crisis you'll already have most of the hand eye cordination that it requires.. |

also just to elaborate on previous complaints/requests/whatever nobody cares apparently, its obsurdly difficult not being able to use ur weapon/squad radial without moving.. something nobody thought of when programming for the move apparently.. also dont drive veicles because opening ur module radial makes ur car/tank/ship stop once uve opened the radial.. these are some small issues that need to be resolved if people will be expected to use the move regularly for this game

i also got into this game because it was a sci-fi shooter that was move compatible.
I exclusively use the move and think its the most natural fun way to experience the game, although i feel i am playing at a disadvantage due to hit accuracy.
so much so that i tried using the regular controller multiple times.
unfortunately after months of using the move it was like reading Chinese and i couldn't hardly look where i was going let alone aim at a target. but when i happened to be in the right place and enemies ran into my cross hairs the auto assist and accuracy was very nice. i can see why people like it.
the standard controller is obviously ccp's priority and a more capable interface at the moment.
unfortunately for me the standard controller is an unnatural way to play and not as fun in general.
I've spent to much time with the move and i like the experience better even though it is extremely frustrating at times not being able to land hits. I don't want to re learn the game with the regular controller even though its obviously more accurate for those that know it.
CCP please put some time in to making my controller of choice work better :)
thank you |

second that. please fix the weapon selection wheel/ vehicle module wheel/squad command wheel if it werent for this 1 (overlapping) problem, when using the various selection wheels, the movement sticks freeze and one cannot move while selecting.. this should be fixed please throw us a bone.
i cannot play logis or vehicles because of this, not exactly fair in my opinion |
