I would love it if the gallente scout had a skill tree for this suit, don't know what the slot setup would be at prototype but it would need a spot for a repper an dampening or range or equipment for a compact hive.
Or it's range, percision , armor regen an speed an stamina, and all other stats could increase at prototype leve so it was all built into the suit and it would generally stay the same but come with all blue prints but the weapons would have proto stats an the suit cost would be that of a full proto suit like say 110 000.
Would anyone want this light commando ? |

1000x yes please CCP. BE suit is what the commando should have been IMO.
Nobody fears seeing a Commando heavy frame waddle behind their lines, they are slow and easy to find...... but a low db profile, fast , moving scout would scare the crap out of me.....and would be awesome to play as! |

Ideally all racial light suits would get two branches like the medium; one would be geared towards combat, the other towards pure scouting and support (dropping uplinks deep in enemy territory, scanning).
So, my Commando proto scout would have 2H, 3L, 2 light weapon slots, no grenades, 2 equipment slots, 1-5 naturally regenerating armor, and the same speed and HP as the current Gallente scout.
Pure scout, call it "Infiltrator", would have 2H, 2L, 1 light weapon, 1 sidearm, no grenades, 3 equipment slots, same armor regen and HP as above, but a little faster base speed and more CPU/PG. |

K cool were onto something then, I thought the commando was gonna be a light suit for sure but was sadly disappointed , they will have to be careful if they make it cuz giving it lots of slots an the possibility of say a breach sg an a crg would be damn deadly on a fast sneaky suit, unless the weapons had to be black eagle weapons , with say the only option would be a nk switch, so you have the ability to use knives , sg , an a rifle. |

Only two? One thinks too small. Look at tech 2 variants on many ships, especially the frigate class. A suit can be special-purposed into many different variants, some for general use (Assault and Logi are likely to be applicable to all scenarios) while other suits can easily be introduced for extremely niche roles (Such as the Commando Heavy, or a Medium suit that gives bonuses to nearby squad mates ala a Fleet Booster in EVE)
With more weapon variety, it is possible to have very highly specialized suits that only are able to perform with one weapon in certain scenarios, but are able to do so in a sharply more effective method than anything else in that circumstance. Not to mention the possibility for suits custom made for certain planet-types, EWAR, and even perhaps non-direct combat roles)

I'm thinking more along CCP development time than I am about the whole spectrum of future possibilities. As the pace of progress stands now, the two suits I've outlined would take seventeen years to put in the game; I don't want to overburden CCP any more than that.

None of the fitted scout suits are any good. They might be if there were any actual benefits from them but they all have different descriptions that are false. The scout suits variants are the same. There is no real difference for db levels in battle and other claimed benefits.
Maybe one day in the fourth or fifth year of development this might happen.
No sense in holding your breath unless you look really good both blue and dead.
