What do you plan on doing when these vehicles are removed?
If they give you a respec of these skills (they better do it); will you save the SP to skill into another role?
What do you think about them being removed?
Would you rather have them stay in the game while they are being worked on?
On a scale ot 0 to >9000, how angry are you about the vehicle classes being removed?

I am going to take all that SP, sprinkle enough to get a gk.0 logi, and put the rest all into turrets. I already have enough SP to max out both sets of vehicle skills.
The only question is if it is even going to be worth it to spec rails, or if Missile and Blaster will be the only ones that count because rails will be crap until we get rendering fixes, which won't happen on this console.

If the refund will happen, i'll try my AV on other vehicles, then i'll decide if it's good or not to spec in vehicles again, my only anger is on ADS, but they will make their appearance again, maybe.

I'm going to wait out a few weeks to a month for CCP to fix the inevitable bugs/nerfs/misc. alterations that will come after 1.7. After everything settles, and if my beloved Python has yet to return to be, I'll still skill into dropships and play the role of glorified elevator/ blockade-runner dropping links and such. Other than that, I might skill into scouts or something.
I'm still holding out for dropships and I expect the reintroduction of the specialist dropships SOON.
I'm bummed that they're bring removed but I understand why, getting back to basics and all I guess.

0; I'm not angry, just bummed out and slightly frustrated. But all in all, it's just a game and CCP are trying to make it better. I'll just let them do it and hope for the best.

I will probably skill into my core skills enough that I can fit a tanked dropship with a CRU (Fantastic for tactical play on bigger maps), and I love dropships.
What irritated me though is, based on the proposed skill changes, the total multiplier for max armor skills (11x) vs max shields (8x). That is almost a 1M SP difference! Also I don't think small turrets should have the same SP requirement as large ones and the segregation of turret skills. The segregation is great in the short run ( it keeps people from maxing out the limited number of turret quickly), but in the long run it will be a massive SP sink. Think about full content release, there should be short and long range versions of missiles, hybrids, lasers, and projectile weapons then a large and small turret. With separated skills each takes 5.9M SP to master (total of x19 multiplier), all turret skills would require 94.5M SP :P If you use boosts and earn on average 2M SP a month it would take you about 47 months to do, and that is just turrets.
I wouldn't mind seeing assault dropships gone if they made all dropships have that amount of agility and greatly improved their ability to earn WP with support actions. Then created an entirely new class of air vehicle for attack roles which would use the same flight idea as dropships but a redesigned chassis for assault action such as 3 forward facing turrets. |

I'm using my banked SP to buy the expensive (Level 4/5 skills) to finish up my Logi support skills (Nanocircuitry, Active Scanners, etc) Then I will skill into Vehicles (Dropships) again the hard way. This is mostly because my Dropship love is recent, whereas my Logi-ing is a long-suffering obsession. |

I guess you could say that I'm an LLAV guy. Initially they were the only reason I had made the decision to skill into Vehicles at all because the notion that I could use a car as a support vehicle for my team really appealed to me. I was disappointed when I found their remote modules to be hilariously convoluted and so I ran around with an LAV + Missile Turret gunner from that point on. Back in the earlier builds of the game (pre-missile nerf) this was actually a seriously scary and viable setup. The car was popped by AV nades fairly quickly but we had the fire power to make the role work. Light Attack Vehicles were ATTACK vehicles back then. The changes to 1.7 to various modules, the nerf of the effectiveness of AV, and the buff to LAV base HP and Shield Regen gives me hope that I can return to this role rather than resorting to Tanks for any sort of compelling vehicle play.
Frankly, I couldn't be happier with them being removed and reworked when I'm looking at the return of the LAV on the battlefield as a result.

-HAND I am happy that the CCP has decided to withdraw the "broke" vehicles.
Mainly as RHAV pilot deeply from bottom of my hearth I can say that current vehicles were unbalance as ****. LLAV that can take more than best fitted HAV with his 25% resistance bonus from no-where, or any DS that drop after 2 Railgun shoots.. SLAV that is Militia LAV without build in Scanner.. and it's not even the beginning of the list.
Broke mechanics should be temporarily removed from the game, fixed, and deployed(that how it should work).
As to the remaining questions - removing something from the game by CCP usually accompanied with reimbursement of the assets or sp, so we do not have reason to complain. |

It all depends for me. I don't mind playing as a gunship or using tanks or being a logi.
I'm hoping they readdress the isk cost along with the balancing because that's the main problem with using vehicles, It''s impossible to not make a profit as infantry we should at least be able to break even.
Enforcers and scout LAVs aren't much of a loss as they're not good enough to use at the moment. LLAV's is a big loss for heavies and tanks, Logi + Assault DS are huge losses to those of us who fly them.
Well I just hope that balancing at the standard level will be done quickly, and yes.

i have exactly 1/3 of my 30 mill sp into vehicles..all will be spent maxxing my amarian assault..and maxing the few equipments i dont have maxed just touch ups really ..i will however drop a small tiny chunk of sp into a lav afterwards |

I'm completely dumping both Dropships and tanks (although before Tanks get changed I'll have some fun with my Gunnlogi :D) and putting it into Proto Amarr Assault, so I can have Proto Assault and Logi, thus giving me a better opinion of how each could be changed, and because the Logi is destined to get nerfed ._.

I don't like driving my car while the mechanic is half done fixing it, tends to lead to problems. In reality many of the "specialty" vehicles were gimmicky and I used none of them. The only one I actually used was the Logistics LAV, but because the repair tool was inherently unusable, it's really not that much of a loss..
Right now CCP needs to focus on redefining those roles and properly implementing them, rather than releasing "cool ideas" that sound badass on paper but really are ineffective in practice.
So while I dont agree with some of the upcoming changes to vehicles, I think its a move in the right direction. I'd rather they keep it simple for now and get it right, than try to fix the machine while it's still in motion.
