Why are there so many crybabies in Dust? Understand this:
DUST WILL ALWAYS CHANGE!
Get used to it or stop playing. If you don't like this fact go play another short-shelf life game where you can reach your God mode and be happy until you get bored and never play that game again.
Dust is different because you have to change with the game or you will be slaughtered. Respecs are a crutch and they are bad for the game. Deal with it or go elsewhere. |

If you don't understand the state of the game completely, you should likely refrain from posting about it, lest you appear as you just did
I understand this game completely. And as a 4 year EVE player I understand how CCP works and how they will make changes to Dust. Your comment and your desire for a respec is horse ****. When will the respecs ever end?
As more suits, more weapons, more vehicles, more modules more skills are added to Dust are the whiners always going to ***** about wanting a respec. "Whaa my maxed out tank can die now I want a respec. Whaa my AR is outranged by a scrambler I want a respec."
People crying and complaining about respecs are upset they have to train something else and they want that something else just handed to them. They are weak and their argument is weaker. |

Dust is different because you have to change with the game or you will be slaughtered. Respecs are a crutch and they are bad for the game. Deal with it or go elsewhere. Dear dipshit, How can I keep up changing with a game that changes core mechanics and weapon stats every month? When they are completely reworking the base stats of any and all modules or equipment, it fundamentally changes the dynamic of the game. They may nerf a playstyle completely (see heavy/scout/callogi/ARs/MassDrivers/ScR/Vehicle/etc...). CCP makes us save for a month or two to spec into a tree, then in 1 week releases notes that say "we are changing the entire tree you specced into, so even though you grind for months, we will nerf it and you can go **** yourself". Simply because you don't want a respec doesn't mean that respecs are not deserved or warranted for 90% of the player base. If you don't want a respec, don't use it. There are a large demographic of players that want/need it. This game has been absolute **** for two months now. It went from a broken game with great squad and team tactics to a twitch shooter/watered down version of COD. If it has any hopes of redeeming its current player base and bringing back the players that have left, they will issue a respec. Even if the intent is simply injecting some life back into this dying game. They did what we wanted and now we want a respec because they did what we wanted
Exactly. The more CCP gives in to the complaints and demand for respecs the more people will be using the fotm gear, thus making Dust more like COD not less like it. When you have a weapon skilled that is not the fotm you either train for the fotm item or adapt your tactics to counter it. I know my AR can't compete with a laser or scrambler at range. That doesn't mean I kick and scream for a respec. I adapt my AR tactics while training for the scrambler.
But as more and more people do this the scrambler is already becoming dominate on the battlefield. Just look at the kill fee feeds during battle. Scrambled are gaining popularity. Eventually the scrambler will change or something will be added to counter it. Should everyone using the scrambler get a respec then? **** no. Because respecs are bull ****.
For Drapedup: Changes to Dust don't happen overnight. There are Dev blogs, forum posts and discussions about upcoming changes weeks sometimes months in advance. And we ALL know more **** will be added to dust over time. If you are not able to plan your training accordingly, or horde SP for an item coming out that you really want than maybe you are the dipshit. |

If you don't understand new things will always be added to Dust you can't be reasoned with either. I have Corp mates hoarding sp right now for the rail and combat rifle. They aren't begging ccp to give it to them they are working for it. |

Players will always complain about this being op or that needing a nerf. There will ALWAYS be a FOTM item. Untill a new item replaces it as the new fotm item. As stats change and new gear is added what works today won't always work tomorrow. The only way to prevent a FOTM item is to make everything the same. How boring would that be?
Respecs allow players to instantly use another item or a newly added item thus reducing variety and tactics on the field. If CCP added every dropsuit, item, module, weapon, vehicle and skill all at once. Everyone would gravitate to a few select items and that is all we would ever see. And since nothing new would be added or stats changed the game would become dull and repetitive. New skills, gear and things to train for keeps the game fresh and evolving. Respecs kill that because you don't have to work for anything. |

Damn, I must not know what respecs are. I was under the impression they allowed you to use your earned SP with all current and relevant information available to you. Damn, someone send me that memo, I want free SP
Yes you did earn that SP. But you also spent it. No refund. Tell me one thing in this world you can exchange for something new after you rode it hard and got your use out of it? Why should SP be any different.
Are you just not going to train anything because Ccp might change something in the future? Get over it. You have access to the same information we all do. And you know more changes are coming. It is not a secret. Either make it work how you want or stop playing. |

Thank you for making my point Dust Fiend. The AR has had a good run at being the king. In fact probably too long. The scrambler rifle is slowly taking away some of that market share and we have more guns coming. That means more things to skill into and the AR will lose its dominance on the battle field. Thus giving us more variety. But everyone who has tons of SP in ARs should not get that sp back just because it might not be king anymore. They should be grateful it was so strong for so long and adapt to the changes in Dust. If you want something train for it. Once you use SP it is gone. That is a fundamental basis of dust and eve. SP is easy to spend but hard to get so use it wisely. And don't complain that something new is being added and its not fair. You still have a huge advantage over new players that have to claw their way from the bottom. |
