So far as i've been playing DUST514, some of the Factions intrigue me. But one of them out of them all is the Amarrian Empire, i haven't played EvE Online but so far the Amarr seem to be a Religious Faction (If I'm right) & their government is controlled by Monarchy. But the thing i don't understand is their hatred towards the Minmitar, i've heard that they were slaves to the Amarr & they rebelled against them for freedom, why did the Amarr enslave the Minmitar if they're spiritual people? |

This may not be the best in-lore answer, but anyways: For the same reasons that real life spiritual people in history arrived at the conclusion that slavery is a good thing. |

They're psychotic plain and simple.
Even tried to take on the Jove at one point, and got slaughtered obviously.

Slavery for the Amarr is more like indentured servants as well.
The Amarr believe that the hardship of "slavery" makes the individual come closer to God and therefore become reclaimed. After a certain period (can't remember how long), if reclaimed, the slave is freed and is accepted into the empire. Once a slave is freed, that cannot be put back into slavery unless found guilty of a major crime warranting that particular punishment.
Go forth, conquer in my Name, and reclaim that which I have given."

With Terrain tech Empress Jamyl rose to power by slaughtering the Elder fleet with this so called weapon that may or may not exist....
